Though it’s sturdy, the bolt, nut and a single thin-washer for the top adjustable bracket, were surprisingly weak, and failed right away. However, I was able to replace the hardware easily with a strong carriage bolt, thick washer, thick lock washer and nut. I am going to try to reach Amazon’s customer service, about an accidental purchase of an identical jack. When returned, there was no refund issued, because of my mistake. I wish that I kept the second jack, and gifted it to a friend.

I was excited about this jack, mechanism worked well and i greased it with some lithium spray grease. Then it broke on about tenth fence post on first job with it and I was only using one arm (i weigh 165lbs).

I purchased and used this jack for a unique application, lifting a small shed which had sunken into soil. I knew I wanted a farm jack for the job, and this model was desirable with the plastic footing to help stabilize the jack while actively lifting. Everything went well, I used the jack over the course of two days and had no issues with operation. My shed is home built using typical framing practices, fairly heavy for the size and compared to 'Big Box Store' options, so I was a little anxious, but the jack moved it like butter, and I felt confident working in the area while lifted. The only note, as I saw mentioned by another, I was a little surprised at how 'ridged' the handle detents are when new. When I first opened it I had to break kind of wrench on the handle to break away the power coat and free the handle from detents. I don't know if this is typical, but I wanted to mention so others don't interpret it as a malfunction when they go to first lower the handle.
