Good product had no need for it

Does not work for me. I tried displaying a chromebox on my VGA display, would not even detect it. Also tried using my laptop, different USB power source, but would not even indication that it detected video from adapter. The VGA cord was proven by using it to display my laptop perfectly on the display. No light to indicate if it was even on??(Amazon should change the rating system, how can you give even 1 star to something that does not work?:)(P.S. I am not just posting because i'm not happy, all of my other reviews are honest.... I think this is the only the 2nd ZERO star rating i'm giving something.)

Works great. I am using it on a Kangaroo Mini PC that just has HDMI out. I took it out of the package and plugged it into the computer, then the monitor and presto works perfectly. Good picture and used the 3.5mm out to hook up the sound to speakers. Comes with a USB type power adapter which I hooked up. All in all a great product for the price.

Plugged in the micro usb and the socket pushed right into the unit. Doesn't work at all without power. Yes I plugged it in the correct way.
