Review: The story itself is very high quality, excellent translation, but what kind of quality control did Dalkey Archive employ for this book? It was riddled typos, not just the random misspellings, but highly egregious mistakes, which is very disappointing for a publisher like Dalkey to produce. I have read indie novels with higher quality control than this. So with that being said, if you can look past that, which I was able to, it's a powerful read. Here are a few examples: Page 365 - "Both had completed no more than middle school compulsory education, meaning they had to live their lives at the bottom of the social ladder, but both had a drive to work to work their up,..." page 299 - "So what do you think you we should do about it" "%exuded self-confidence that" Page 292 - "Must have been about two(emoji icons here)thirty when I got there" Page 168 - "I don't think there be secrets between you and me" And there are many more examples throughout. Review: this big novel is worth reading
