Are you someone who says they don't like hot chocolate? Or maybe you're one of those "I could take it or leave it" - you'll drink it if it's the only thing available, but your favorite part is the marshmallows. Perhaps you think hot chocolate just doesn't taste all that good, so why bother drinking something that's just tolerable?Well, we have been lied to, friends. Hot chocolate is not supposed to be chalky or merely a vehicle for melted marshmallows. There's always that large can of SwissMiss at winter events that never seems to get used up for a reason. Because we have been missing out on the wonders of GOOD hot chocolate! Like, really, really good. I am forever ruined now for subpar hot chocolate, and you should definitely join the club with me. Don't settle for powdered drink mixes that rely on sugar and other flavors to mask what's a really boring beverage otherwise.I bought this mix at the recommendation of a friend whose food suggestions are always on point, and I'm SO glad I did! This stuff is rich, decadent, delicious, and takes milk, eggnog, or Baileys soooo well without losing its own flavor. It even comes with a metal spoon to easily dole out the perfect amount (one heaping scoop per mug is what I've been doing). And not some cheapy, easily bent spoon. No, this is a solid metal spoon that you can definitely reuse for a long time to come.The ingredient list tips you off right away that you're about to experience a whole new level of hot chocolatey goodness. Let's compare shall we? The first five ingredients in SwissMiss are: sugar, corn syrup, modified whey, and then finally cocoa, and hydrogenated coconut oil. Ew, that certainly doesn't sound appetizing, and there's still more ingredients.Now let's take a look at Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate & Cocoa Gourmet Powder: Sugar, cocoa processed with alkali, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin, vanilla extract. That's it, five ingredients TOTAL. And you can immediately smell and taste the difference. Bought as a gift that was much appreciated!
But this is a gift for some family friends. However, the little ones wouldn’t stop asking for it! My suggestion is to order at least two or three! Delicious!

Good product
I buy it every time, although if there was a type that contains chocolate, I would choose it. I drink it with milk hot. It is delicious, but often children do not like it.

Looove our cocoa powder!
We've struggled to find this again for years as we used to buy it in smaller containers in stores! We have so many food intolerances but this dairy free cocoa powder has been perfect for our family! A friend directed me to finding it on Amazon in this larger size which we promptly got ... and used up! ha ha Time for a reorder!

Chocolate Caramel coffee creamer very close to International Delight's flavor
International Delight's Chocolate Caramel creamer is often missing from the food store shelves due to its popularity.... I got tired of this and decided to brew my own version and it comes out pretty close to ID's flavor! In a sauce pan add a 14oz can of Condensed milk and dilute it with 14 ounces of filtered water. Apply medium heat.... mix in about one cup of Ghirardelli Caramel and then add 1.5 tablespoons of the chocolate powder. I add one teaspoon of Xylotol (sugar substitute). Stir until steaming (not boiling). Allow to cool to room temperature then pour the cooled liquid into a container: I simply use the empty International Delight canister. I'm still dialing in the flavor but it seems more Caramel than chocolate is the key.
