Great telescope!
Bought as a Christmas gift and just used. Was able to see the moon very well. Kids love it. Sight included needs to be calibrated with the telescope. I didn’t get the chance but still was able to spot the moon without it. Haven’t tried the included software yet

Nice telescope
I’m a casual backyard astronomer and I bought this to leave out near my back door to check out a few planets or the moon.I like the way this is built. It looks and feels very solid. It’s a good looking telescope. It’s obviously not that James Webb, but for the money, I think it’s a good deal and I enjoy it. Also, the finder scope works well although it’s a little confusing to figure out how to use it for the first time.

Unexpected benefits
Very nice home use telescope. Definitely stretches the human eye considerably. Very stable, easy to move around, nice looking. The unit comes with two lenses that Very considerably offering a very wide range of application. One unexpected benefit is you can take pictures through the eye piece that provide great photos that can be saved, printed, etc.

Great for a beginner!
I have never owned a telescope. This was so easy to set up. I did order a Celestron moon filter kit due to the brightness of the moon. Received it just in time for the Parade of Planets. Now, the planets just look like bright stars through it, although we are pretty sure we saw the rings of Saturn. I do recommend for general moon watching. Or even wildlife/landscape. I am a review reader. And I usually start with the bad lol. BUT, sometimes, the low star ratings are meh. I recommend this for the money, if looking at the moon and some small constellations is what you prefer.

Excellent abd Works Great
Excellent and Works Great. You are able to see the details of the moon - the mountains, craters and soil color.

Great beginner scope, even my 7 year old can use it.
My son (7) received this as a birthday present from his grandparents. He has been asking for a telescope since his 4th birthday. He had a small kids scope that barely helped him find the moon and was difficult to look through. My mother wanted something that he could use, but also be able to find what he was looking at and see clearly. This hit the nail on the head. The finder scope was easy to calibrate, and my son is able to find and align the moon and some starts on his own. He needs adult supervision and some help occasionally, but we love that the telescope has encouraged his love of space and not been a discouragement. We also purchased a kit from Celestron that included a moon filter and a 15mm lense and I believe it was smart addition. Even the adults have been amazed by the detail we could see. It also works wonderfully as a day scope. The only downside is the mount can be a bit wobbly and is very easy to bump even when locked, made it difficult to keep on stars as they moved out of view. (But for our beginner purposes this was wonderful).

Perfect Beginner Telescope
This is a perfect beginner telescope for our 13 year old. Easy for him to assemble himself. If you’re new to a telescope there’s a small learning curve but that’s part of the fun.

Frustrating
Not a good telescope. It’s very difficult to center an object in the field of view because it doesn’t turn easily.
