When I need to quickly put food in my stomach, I go out to eat. When I want to treat myself and/or my dinner guests to a meal that will arouse overwhelming happy sensations (at first bite, throughout the meal and linger after), I cook.Cooking is a gift I give myself and those special to my heart. I search for recipes with ingredients favored by myself and my guests. The best recipes often do require the best ingredients (for the most intoxicating taste) and they often do require a bit of time to prepare. Cooking in like manner can be costly and time consuming. I, and those I care about, are worth it and so much more!I purchased the Kindle version because my job requires travel and with Kindle I can easily take my favorite recipes with me and at least look at the recipes and dream of when I will next have opportunity to cook a fine meal. When that time comes, I am thankful and enjoy every minute of the cooking and fine eating experience!The complexity of the recipe (in this cookbook) depends on the recipe chosen. I do not consider myself to be an experienced cook. To me, none of the recipes in this cookbook seem overly complex. Some require more ingredients and more time to prepare. Plan accordingly.If you enjoy great food, but don’t have the time or energy to cook it, then don’t. Be kind to yourself. Not everyone enjoys cooking. I highly recommend this cookbook. Having watched the show I knew that the recipes would be awesome. I like the fact that there are full color pictures of every recipe so that you know how it is supposed to look. The recipes are easy to follow with the list of ingredients first then the step by step clearly stated instructions following. I like the fact that these recipes are good for everyday cooking, not just for special occasions. I have already made several of them and they are very tasty and not difficult to prepare. You don't have to be an professional chef to make these dishes. I believe anyone who can cook can easily follow this cookbook. I got my cookbook in a timely fashion, which was great because I was anxious to get started on these recipes. These are great Italian meals that are a delicious addition to home cooking. If you are thinking of getting this cookbook, and like great Italian food, I would recommend that you buy it.

WOW! I had read bad reviews about the recipes in his baking cookbook, but after reading reviews on this cookbook, I decided to try it. I LOVE IT! I have tried 2 recipes, and both were show-stoppers! The Pasta with Ham, Peas, and Cream is unbelievable! And it's easy. In fact, no one would know how easy! I also made a pizza using his dough and sauce. Oh my goodness! It makes the delivery pizza completely pale in comparison.I love his stories throughout the book. You can hear his voice through it, so if you like listening to him on TV, you'll like reading his tidbits.All in all, I can't wait to try even more of his recipes. And besides enjoying a great homemade dish, you really can't beat being able to say "This is the Cake Boss' recipe." I would highly recommend this book!

Recipes looks so yummy but unless you love to really cook and buy lots of ingredients it's just yummy to look at. Several we wanted to do but not living in a big city dont have the ability to get some of the protein ingredients.

Just received this book & that night made 2 recipes from it. (apple snacking cake & Buddy's Favorite Roast Potatoes). I also made a chicken dish (not from the book). My husband kept raving about the potatoes & the cake. There are a lot of recipes & I like his tips. He shares some fantastic family recipes. It's not just all Italian (although I do love Italian food). There are no fancy ingredients that I do not know what they are. The recipes are explained in a simple way. I like to cook & I have to say this is going to be one of my favorite books.

Better than Nonna's because there are actual measurements to go by. Granted I use them as guides - but at least they help get me in the right range. Wonderful recipes and very real cooking - not fancy or trendy - just delicious. The quick marinara sauce is bright and tasty and I grow a lot of basil year round just to have for sauces. I also started making my own breadcrumbs after watching his show - why I never thought of making my own instead of using the canned is a mystery. Huge difference in flavor! The Pesto alla Genovese used in Lasagna is truly spectacular and the Rice Pudding recipe makes my Husband of 35 years want to marry me again. Thanks Buddy for sharing all your family recipes with us.

I LOVE this Italian cookbook. I have many of the recipes from my own family but will try some of Buddy's that are a little different, like the Pasta Fagiole fa-zhool. Perfect for anyone looking for good down home Italian recipes.

Es bueno el libro, lamentablemente le hace falta la imagen de cada platillo, ya que de la vista nace el amor. Yo lo compre porque me encantaba ver su programa y en el libro vienen varias recetas, pero si les fallo el no ilustrarlo.Viene en ingles, pero eso es lo de menos, lo califico con 3 estrellas por la falta de imágenes.

Der Typ macht nicht nur gute, große und lustige Kuchen , er kann auch kochen. Habe schon das Rezept mit der Minestrone ausprobiert, echt geil.Kann das Kochbuch nur weiterempfehlen wenn man gut italienisch kochen will.

Un libro en el que si no solo te gustan los postres también tienes recetas de entrantes y principales. Muy recomendable, un libro donde salen todas las fiestas y celebraciones de EEUU.
