I prefer the square shape and the tight mesh for keeping fruit flies ,in particular, away from food. So far this is working. Also easy to pack for outdoor meals ,tailgates, picnics etc.A good value but one must be careful handling the materials. They are natural and easily broken.

In southeast TX there tends to be a lot of gnats inside jo matter how clean and dry inside is, during the wet seasons which is often. Bought this as well as the sticky trap light that plugs into wall and we don't have a problem with gnats at all. This is added protection from them for our fruits works great. And it's cute on the counter.

It's too bad because these types of covered baskets are incredibly handy for drying food, covering food, and as a serving tray. However, this one is so poorly made that it is useless. It is flimsy, the latch is tied into the woven bamboo so it just snaps off and the mesh lid can't close properly.Don't waste your money.

It does the job. I also use it to rinse/drain my cut veggies.

Not worth 21 dollars. It's flimsy and cheap. I have to kind of break a piece of bamboo for the cover to properly close. And is smaller that what it seemed. Gets the job done but not worth the money :(
