The best in salmon oil at a great price!
I have used this product for many years and am really happy with it. I normally buy it on pet sites. IfI wanted to buy two of these at a time I could have saved money by purchasing it from one of them. They offer free shipping at $85. With a code for 15% off they would have been $83 and I would havegotten free shipping because originally the price was over $85. Since I really only need one I decidedto get it where I get most of my purchases here at Amazon. I have four dogs all under 20 pounds each. The half gallon lasts for months and it has greatly improved coat issues and I am sure some other thingsas well. The Veterinarian says they very healthy. I also feed them Fromm's Fish and Potato kibble,Olewo beets and carrots, a chewable glucosamine/chondroitin supplement, and plain yogurt. They arespoiled, but they are very healthy. The Veterinarian always comments on how well they are doing whenhe sees them and says to keep doing whatever I am doing. He has taken samples of the salmon oil andbeets and carrots for his own dog and now buys both products from Amazon as well. I usually pour thisoil into a smaller bottle it originally came in so that it is more convenient for me to grab out of the refrigerator. Both bottles are kept in the refrigerator after opening. It gives them a bit of fish breath, but that way I knowI gave it to them! They love it and have never refused it on their food or cookies. It is an exceptionally easyway to get the omega 3 oils into them. It also is extremely fairly priced compared to other brands. It is fromwild salmon, not farmed which is healthier and the price cannot be beaten! I very highly recommend thisproduct!

This is a quality product to put into my dog's food.
I make all my dog's food at home. I make a supplement to add to the food I make. The recipes and supplement are from "Feed Your Best Friend Better" by Rick Woodford. My dog loves all the recipes that I make from this book and the Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is one of the supplements.

All 3 dogs have healthy, shining coats
We have been giving our 3 dogs this Salmon oil for about 2 years now. When we rescued our 2 older dogs, their coats were okay but not full and shiny. One is a black lab/husky mix with a double-layered, thick coat and the other is a mutt with a medium-length, thin coat that slightly thickens in the winter. After years of poor nutrition from living on the street, we put them on an expensive dog food but still didn't see significant improvement in their coats. We found this product after a little research and within 1 full season of shedding their winter coats, their summer coats came in very healthy and shiny. Their next winter coat came in very thick and just as healthy. The improvement to their coats is undeniable and I would recommend this product for anyone that has a rescue whose coat needs a little help. Our 3rd dog was a surprise puppy from one of our rescues. We have been feeding this oil to her since she was a puppy. She is 1.5 years old now and her adult coat is still as soft as her puppy coat was. She is a short-haired dog but has a double coat from her husky mix mother. Her adult coat is beautifully shiny and healthy. We don't know what her coat would like without this oil, but with the undeniable benefits we saw in our other dogs, we will keep all 3 of them on this for the rest of their lives.

Our Lab loves this!!!
Our 14-1/2 month old, 75 pound Lab, loves this stuff! He's had some skin issues (dry seborrhea) this summer so our holistic vet recommended that we add in fish oil even though we feed super premium grain free food (Orijen Six Fish). We've been putting way more pumps in his food than recommended and eats 2x/day, so much so that he has almost gone through the entire 64 oz bottle in about 5 weeks. His coat has grown back in thick and the wavy fur is back along his back. His coat is super shiny and it looks healthy. We keep this large bottle in the door of our refrigerator and it fits perfectly. The pump is very convenient for pumping the oil onto his food and we have had no issues with the pump leaking or dripping. For the amount of this that Frankie has gone through in 5 weeks I was a bit worried about his weight, but over the last 5 weeks his weight has only gone up 1/2 pound, but this could also be contributed to that he is still growing and it's been extremely hot and humid here with heat indexes over 100 so he has not had a lot of outside play time and his long walks have been shortened. We just received our second bottle of this Grizzly Salmon Oil in the 64 oz size and our pup is very happy! Since he's a Lab he loves to eat so we have had no issues with him not eating his food with the oil on it.

good but messy
I had been giving my dog fishoil caps for awhile. I believe they help him with skin and joint inflammation too but because of that I am not sure I will notice a big improvement with this (i.e. he was already getting the benefits of fishoil)but have not been using it long enough to know. What I can say is that the pump is messy. It made a big mess when I first engaged the pump- that is a one time thing so no biggie but even after I cleaned that up there is always oil on the bottle and it sometimes drips after i have pumped. I also have learned to put the pump very close to the food so it does not splash- that is probably obvious and unavoidable though. I don't think there is anything that can be done to improve this - it is just the nature of using a pump I guess. I wish it was available in those kinds of bottles where you squeeze to fill a small chamber to get the proper dose- liquid glucosamine is sometimes sold this way. My dog is huge and is going to go through this pretty quickly but if you have a small dog I would suggest getting the size w/o the pump.I noticed some reviews that said this product smells terrible- if I open the bottle and put my nose up to it it smells fishy- it is fishoil! However I have not smelled this on my dog or in my home or even in the kitchen when I am standing near the bottle.I cant exactly comment on palatability b/c my dog will eat anything (he ate the fishoil caps like they were treats!) but he still gobbles his food and I suspect most dogs would find this stuff to be very tasty!
