I was not sure if the fur would stay attached or start coming off all the time. But I have been pleasantly surprised to see that this hat is very well-made. The fur is fake of course but really soft and it doesn't shed at all. The hat is a good shape and it doesn't ship like a pancake like a lot of other hats. Also, when the flaps are down, they stay pretty close to my ears. This is good because you don't want wind getting in. Just be aware that this is not resizable. So normally I wear a L/XL hat, so the large that I ordered is just perfect. It is actually my default hat because it is just so easy and kind of goes with my new beard.

I ordered a L size, the biggest they had. It's almost too small for my size 7 1/4 head. I cannot imagine anyone with a larger hat size wearing this. Otherwise, nice quality and should be warm when teh cold snap hits. It's actually more comfortable with teh flaps down than up.

You may consider going up one size. I wear hearing aids and glasses, and the fit is very tight when I put down the flaps. Otherwise, it's a great fit with flaps up.

Well made, quality materials and sized correctly. Like the ability to get this hat in different sizes. I need a hat that is not a one size fits all type as they most often don't fit. I have worn this several times outdoors in the cold and it has done an excellent job of keeping my head warm. Having the flaps available when walking the dog at night is helpful when the wind kicks up.Can't see me wearing this in any other season but winter as it is very warm. That is the season that I bought it for, so I'm am very pleased with the product. I should get a number of years out of this hat, more than I do from regular cheaper hats. It is worth the extra $$ paid.Quality product and would recommend it to others.

Surprising warmth for my ears when the flaps are down, but approximately every 10 minutes I need to push the visor up away from my eyes to maintain visibility.

Very comfortable and warm.

This hat has a long brim for those looking for protection from the sun in winter walks in cold climates. Ear flaps look stylish when folded up and have Rivet snaps to keep them up attached to top of cap. There is no chin strap so on very windy and frigid days I do place earmuffs or an ear band over the flaps to keep wind out but the flaps are big enough to completely cover one’s ears. I am used to using a toque for Canadian winters but found on bright sunny days I was lacking for eye protection. This takes care of that issue. But I suggest if your hat size is bigger than 7 1/2 or 7 5/8 this is not the hat for you. My size is 7 1/2 and the extra large is comfortably snug.
