Seventeen naughty tales of submission, otherworldly pleasure and a little pain.
I recognized the inspirations behind some of the tales, and the naughty twists were done very well. As for the rest, they were completely new to me but still managed to capture my interest. If you love the classics, old folklore or just want some new stories written the old way but with a very sexy twist, then this is a lovely collection to lose yourself in. The majority of the stories were M/F, but there were also two F/F.**My top favorites (5 stars):**The Seven Ravens by Ariel Graham - Cecily breaks a curse her father had placed on his once best friend's family. Whoa, hot, hot, hot!Black of Knight by Victoria Blisse - A fair maiden with snark, a bit of a tom boy, BBW, a handsome Black Knight who yells “Cheerio”. This was funny and sexy hot!Need and Permission by Benjamin Creek - Beauty and the Beast – the adult version, and boy did this deliver! Marienne misses Andray's wild side. To distract herself from the stale bedroom activities, she writes all her dark desires in her private journal. Then he finds it. Dun dun dun.Locks by Tahira Iqbal - Cara, is a descendant of Rapunzel. An ounce of her hair is highly coveted. Her hair is used in sex rituals, and she feels whatever the “users” feel. Something her newly hired bodyguard is bound to notice. So hot!Out of the Waves by Rose de Fer - The mermaid Naiae is fascinated by a fisherman; it's love at first sight. She allows herself to be captured by him in the hopes that he'll keep her. A mermaid and a sexy mortal. Need I say more?Mine Until Dawn by Valerie Alexander - A Cinderella type story. Cynthia works as a janitor in a corporate building and she's in lust with the CEO, Justin. She uses a spell that will make her beautiful enough to make him notice her. All she wants is to control him for just one night. This was so sweet and sexy. I loved the twist at the end with the photo replacing the "glass slipper".In the Palace of Gods and Monsters by Michelle Augello-Page - Beauty and the Beast-esque. In order to help her family restore their fortune, a princess was married off to a king from a faraway castle, sight unseen. She was never allowed to look upon her new husband's face. He never came to her unless she followed his rules of waiting for him blindfolded. Over time she had come to love him and the wicked pleasures he bestowed upon her. But one night, her curiosity got the better of her. Who doesn't love a twist on that particular tale? This story was probably the hottest one and blended pain and pleasure very well.**4/5 Stars:**Sealed by Laila Blake - This was interesting as I'd never heard anything similar before. A little online research brought up The Seal Wife, The Seal Woman, and/or The Seal Pelt. According to legend, a selkie can only make contact with one human for a short amount of time before they must return to the sea. They are unable to make contact with that human again for seven years, unless the human steals their selkie skin and hides it or burns it. Sealed is the tale of James and Mairead. This romantic tragedy left me with tears by the end of it. Heartachingly beautiful. The Smith Under the Hill by Kathleen Tudor - A sister journies into the realm of the Fae to rescue her brother. Seduced by the Fae Prince until she turns the tables on him. This was hot, and I loved the heroine taking control of the Fae Prince.Thorn King by Jane Gilbert - A woman stumbles in the woods and is met by a dominating man who brings her painful pleasure. I loved this dark, mysterious, and very hot tale. But be warned, there's blood play involved.Red and the Big Bad Wolf by Poetic Desires - Red is a spitfire - hot-tempered, strong, untameable. Her parents fear she'll never be able to find a future King with that attitude. They turn to the Grandmother of the forest, a powerful mage, for help. At the same time, Wolfe was sent to kill the mage, but she had other plans for him.The Last Duchess by Kristina Wright - Esmerelda fakes her death to escape from her sadistic husband. With the help of a wizard, she lives in subterfuge. But she's lonely and starving for a man's rough touch once more. She dreams of the wizard and confesses her darkest desires. Upon awakening, there seems to be more to her feline gift from the wizard than meets the eye.**Others**The Dancing Princess by Elizabeth L. Brooks - Witches or Fairies? I didn't fully understand what was going on in this one.The King's Cousin by Catherine Paulssen - F/F Not something that interests me, but I did like the vast differences between the two women. One was delicate and strong-willed, the other was fierce (warrior type). I liked the hard vs soft, but their intimacy did nothing for me. It was still a very well-written story. The Silence of Swans by Kannan Feng - The identity of the narrator was a bit vague. I gathered she was a Princess who was captured by the King, yet she lived in his castle and was treated like a maid who sewed shirts made of asters that were supposed to release her brothers from a curse and return them to their human form from a swan state. She couldn't speak, but loved the pleasure the King bestowed upon her.Your Wish by L.C. Spoering - Aladdin type story. A man finds a bottle with a female genie who grants him three wishes. She hopes the last one he makes will be about her.The Witch's Servant by Michael M. Jones - F/F. Lost in the woods, the spoiled and bratty Princess Emmaline came upon an old crone in a cottage. Her ungratefulness despite the old woman's help was punished with seven months of subservience. When the time came for the witch to release her, Emma made a bold decision. Another well-written F/F story.*Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review*

All little girls love fairy tales, Snowwhite meets her prince charming after being tricked by her wicked stepmother, Sleeping Beauty gets awakened with a magical kiss and meets her savior. No matter the tale all woman can think back to their childhood and remember the feeling of elation when that happy ending comes. But all little girls grow up and along with stepping in to the grown up world comes real romance.I have personally always wondered what my favorite fairy tale heroine, Snowwhite was feeling when she met her prince, instant attraction obviously because they do get married in a matter of three pages, but what about all the other emotions associated with love and lust? And what about it the story teller had added a little twist? Well I wonder no more, because in this read the authors did an amazing job at taking the everyday fairy tales we all love and transformed them all into fairy tale meets the world of erotica, showing not only the real feelings these fairy tale heroines felt but adding in fabulous twits that gave the stories a life of their very own , far from the ones I read as a child. There was The Seven Ravens by Ariel Graham , that showed when we fall in love there is so much more to the person we see, a multitude of talents and personalities combine to present the perfect hero of one's heart.Your wish by L.C. Spoering showed how life can present us with the one we love and even when right in front of us we can still manage to overlook the person. The Last Duchess by Kristina Wright was a tale of cruelty to a woman and showed when fighting back one can be free and find happiness. Those are just three of the enthralling reads from this book. Each story was filled with deep dark desires and passion exploding from the pages. If you are not a fan of erotica and prefer to keep your fairy tales wrapped in the perfect little no naughty dreams bubble this read is of course not for you. But if like myself you have ever wondered what if or what about , then this read will lead the way to giving life to all those desires and much more. Spanking, being tied up and bent beyond will, losing control, magic you name it this read had it.I recommend this read for fans of erotic read that offer up a variety of twists and turns and has something for each kind of fantasy you might be secretively craving.4 star review" Princes and Princess come to life like never before"*** Copy provided in exchange for a honest review

A Magical Book!
I've read more than my fair share of BDSM anthologies and can safely declare this one like no other. Bondage, etc. becoming part of the fairy tales we all grew up with? Only Kristina Wright could create such an idea and make it real. The stories were so vividly written they became palpable, so enchanting my cheeks warmed and my breath caught. It took me to magical places where dragons daughters meet black knights, seven mysterious ravens carry erotic promise, and Wolfe has grandma's permission to make little Red beg.

variety of couples in different stages of life
The one thing that would make this better is pictures. I really think this would make a great coffee table book. These stories were fantastic and they opened with one of their best Sealed by Laila Blake made be cry (but if you ever see me in public I will deny it, promise you that). I couldn't figure out which fairy-tale it was based off of. I am leaning toward Little Mermaid but some of the stories were like that which made it fun for me, not sure about you (hence the four crowns). Another one of my favorites was Locks by Tahira Iqbal. In A Princess Bound some of the fairy tales picked up after the HEA, so if you don't know that the princess married the soldier and that kind of thing would bother you then you might be out of luck but if you like a good short story with a variety of couples in different stages of life dive right in A Princess Bound has you covered.

spell bound
I really loved each individual story, you never knew what was going to happen next. It really kept your attention though out the story. It has me thinking and dreaming it was me instead,in fact I,wanted it to be me. You will not be disappointed,if you read these. Looking for more books like this.

Flogging a dead horse
It's just about possible to find the original fairy/children's stories that inspire this set of rather nasty rewrites. I don't remember anything I've read lately that I've disliked more. I think I bought it by mistake. After dipping into and out of this book over more than a month, I finally hit the 'delete from device' nuke button.
