I decided to purchase this one in maple wood because it looked to be a low budget version of the Maple Shade Samson racks. I was thrilled that it actually improved my sound - something that I suspected but was not counting on. I didn't install the provided rubber washers, which made it very rigid and stable and I believe improved the sound. Pictures are before and after.
