These are great terminal covers for do-it-yourself Cat5e cables. The range of colors is extensive. The hole in the back fits most Cat5e cables nicely - no slop. Also the internal configuration has a molded lug that fits into a depression on the back of the RJ-45 plug and helps hold the cover securely in place.

The boots where perfect for a project I needed them for. I still have some left and I keep them in my kit, when I need to make extra cables. It's nice having different colors, it really helps identify cable connections behind messy desks. o They are very easy to use, functional, and where compatible with the CAT5e I was using.

I recently purchased this product. I found it to be a great product. It is made sturdy and works well. It is easy to use and looks great. The price was fair and the item was as described in the ad.

Based on the price I took a risk on these as I'm trying to clean up and organize some of the cabling in my home. I feel they are a pretty good value for Cat 5 with the following caveat. You use them on cables that are mostly left in place. They are flexible but not soft. I wouldn't use them to build a cable to connect to a laptop that you unplug daily. The assortment of colors is nice for building custom length patch cables for a switch or for in place runs for desktops/servers. I bought them hoping they might also work for Cat 6a. Nope. Near boiling water softens them to where they stretch some (almost look like they will fit), but then they tear easily. If you cut the part that goes along the cable and flexes off and drilled out the hole you can to fit these on. They look horrible and now don't really do what they are supposed to do. If you want Cat6a boots look elsewhere. Trust me I tried to make them work.

These are easy to slip on to ethernet cables and have a nice fit over most RJ45 connections. This 100 pack is a great value.

The boots are compliant enough for me to squeeze the clip and fit securely around my home made network cables. Keep in mind the gauge of your network cable as thinner/higher gauge cables will cause the boots to slide back and forth more easily.
