Looking for an alarm clock on Amazon, this showed up as a suggestion. Looked so cute and had such good reviews, I decided to get one for myself. Star Wars fan since '77, female, age 48. LOL.He's even cuter in person! Great detailing that shows quality and care, worthy of the LEGO brand as you would expect. The little details make it awesome - the pockets on his trousers, knee pads, spiked boot tips, a trophy braid, insignia patch, and all the paint chips on his helmet/faceplate. Fantastic! Just like a regular-sized LEGO figure, his legs can be moved so he appears to be walking or he can sit down. His arms can move forward and backward, and his hands can twist in a full circle at the wrist. His head does not turn, however, so he can only face forward (this is because his head, when pressed down, causes the backlight on the clock face to light up and also serves as the "snooze button"). He is solidly made and of a significant weight. You would not want to drop him on your foot.Very easy-to-set time and alarm. The clock face tells the time, shows "pm" for pm, and by looking at the clock face you can also see what time the alarm is going to go off (shows time, a bell icon, and the letters "Zz" for snooze). Alarm is a moderately loud beep, won't induce a heart attack in us older kids. ;) Snooze for 5 minutes by pushing down on his head. Takes 2 AAA batteries, so low-cost to run, and battery housing requires a screwdriver to open/close.Definitely not a toy but it's oh so tempting to play with him! I'm contemplating getting a 2nd one to stash away for the future.

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He has loved star wars for most of his life.We love all the Lego games and Lego star wars is what started it all so I had to get this for him when I saw it. It is awesome!! It's very simple with no bells and whistles but I can say that the alarm clock is really loud which is good!Pros:- looks just like a Lego figure but bigger!- alarm clock is loud- there is back light by pushing the top of the helmet.- number display is large- it's so cute!- you can have him sit or stand just like a Lego figure.Cons:- it's not really a con, but it's a bit smaller than I thought. I posted a picture with my review to compare it to a water bottle. The size is perfect for us though!Can't think of any other cons!!Recommend to any star wars fan!

Our boys love this clock. They love everything LEGO and this looks great on the shelf. The boys like the easy on back light that is turned on by pressing down on the figures head. I do not know how long the batteries will last, but we will find out in time. Their previous wall clock was battery operated so needing batteries is not an issue, also one less thing that needs to be plugged in. Batteries did come with it and there is a tab you need to pull that keeps them from making connection to keep them new until you are ready to use the clock. I was surprised that the figure is just as pose able as a regular LEGO person with the exception of the head, since it is used to turn the back light on and for the snooze on the alarm clock it does not move. You can have it stand or sit whichever you prefer, though sitting position does feel like it will be less likely to be knocked over by cat or kids rough housing near it. The time and alarm are also very easy to set.

I stumbled upon this while perusing Lego products for my son's seventh birthday , but I couldn't make out what it was. How can a mini-figure have a clock display? It turns out it's a movable GIANT mini-figure, there's nothing mini about it at all. The top of the helmet is about the size of my palm and the clock stands, maybe, a foot tall. I thought I was just getting a cool looking alarm clock but to my thrilled son this is a sturdy toy, too - like his own Boba Fett doll. He plays with it by day and puts it next to his bed at night to use the alarm. The alarm is easy to set and goes off as a pleasant beep. It starts with single beeps and moves toward a steady series of beeps, but it may not be kid or annoying enough for deep sleepers. For a kid like mine, however, who is lying awake excited for Boba to sound off it's a nice way to start the morning. Depressing the helmet backlights display for five seconds and works as a five-minute snooze. Way to go, Lego! Quality product - and finally one that doesn't end up a thousand pieces in our growing bin.

Bought it as a gift for my 7 year old son who hated his last alarm clock...needless to say that is not the case with this one...he held it in his lap while he watched empire strikes back and then brought it to bed with him...when it went off this morning he carried it around with him while he did his morning routine...no arguments or fussing....let's see how long his love affair with it lasts...it is big and sturdy and has a great alarm that gets louder and louder...simple and easy to set and lights up really bright when you push on his head but is nice and dark so it doesn't disturb your sleep!
