Do the job
Perfect size and flexibility, could be have a better grip at the bottom but do the job anyways

Perfect for outdoor lighting
I needed to borrow underneath a path of brick pavers that was almost 5 feet wide in order to bury wiring for outdoor lighting that I was installing. This did the trick. It was flexible yet sturdy.

Perfect
I needed to run some wires above the ceiling, perpendicular to the joists. This bit allowed me to navigate through the 4.5” holes to drill through the joists. Worked perfectly. I’m sure it will be necessary to use this again.

Its not flexible as it claims it to be.
The bit itself is greatly built and easily drills through the studs. However, in terms of flexibility, it is not very easy to work with. It may work well with a new construction but if you are buying this to work with making changes in your home, it doesn't make a difference between a smaller one vs the longer ones.

Worked for me
Used to drill a hole through rocky dirt to put conduit under a cement walkway, and it did that job without issue.

Great for fishing cable!
I was running cat6 cable through a 1950's ranch from the basement up into a wall cavity and out an outlet box. From the bedroom I was able to fish this bad Charlie into the wall, drill through the baseplate and subfloor without making a huge mess or a huge hole in the wall that I would need to repair. A perfect tool for the job. The drill size is large enough to run the cat6 line with connector through the hole.Next, installing ceiling lights, led pods, throughout the house using this bad boy.

This Flexy Drill Bit Got the Job Done.
I added an external duplex wall outlet. Power for it was taken from an existing interior GFCI outlet. The 1/2" x 36 inch long drill bit was exactly what I needed to get the job done. The 12/2 UF-B cable had to go from the interior outlet, down through the sub floor and sill (approximately 4.5-inches of wood). This got the 12/2 into the crawl space for easy passage to the exterior wall. While drilling I felt the bit strike a framing nail. But fortunately it wasn't a direct hit. So I was able to get past it without too much trouble. But I suspect the drill bit lost eight of its nine lives from the encounter with the nail. This project would have been more difficult without a long flex bit. No drywall repairs needed, everything was done inside the existing wall and in the crawl space.

Did a great job
Bought this to run a new electrical cable through the wall. Worked great, perfect flex to get where it needed to. Looking for other uses as I have only used it once.

Not cheap but did the job for me
Pro: Three flat non-slip grip on the chuck end worked very well for me. A great tool. Cannot imagine how to do my home wiring without a flex shank drill bit.Con: The bit is not as sharp as i expected. This won't be a problem at all if you have a corded drill or cordless drill with powerful battery. When working with my 6 years old cordless drill (battery) in cold Canadian weather, the drill bit got stuck in stud. After i got the battery fully charged at room temperature, the bit successfully got through studs and sub-floor.I wouldn't mind giving it a 5-star if the seller reminds users that a fully charged battery would address it if the bit got stuck. An update: did another two jobs with my house. This bit still works as well as they were. Seems it's gonna be good for the rest of my life.

Worked great
Very sharp for the first several holes. Went through like butter but when it dulled it really dulled. Struggled to finish my project.

Lenght you need and diameter of wire you work with.
It worked, no issues drilling through joist.Tricky to pass the wire through though. My wife came out with an idea how to fish the wire so it doesn't catch the edges of the joist, she's so smart. That extension is really stiff thinking it would be ok to drill through two joist but i should have ordered the longest one and bigger diameter too. 9/16" for a 14/2 wire is a little tight , go bigger, it would have been easier. I would recommend the bit but you have to be handy to do this pot light install job if the ceiling is not exposed.

Nice and handy
Great bit. Fits 1- 14/2 and 1-12/2 Romex in a single hole very snugly if needed. Might be able to force as much as 2 - #12/2 's in a hole, but you could always just do a 12/3. Low voltage you could fit loads I'm sure. Easy to sharpen if you hit a nail. Nice to have holes on either end for attaching & pulling wires through! If needed, one can attach twine or fish tape to the end if a sharp angle is on the end to make puling easier (to pull wires throug in 2 steps).-1 star because I did notice the cutting edge got imperfect when i hit a nail, but like I said, easy sharpening (used a small file).Good price

Ran a cable through a noggin in a stud wall
It is a great tool to have. Used it to run a cable through a noggin in a stud wall. I drilled an access hole in the plasterboard and used a cheap endoscope camera to see what I was doing. Found that you need about 10cm height of the hole to get enough angle so the bit hits the middle of the noggin rather than the plasterboard wall because it's not hugely flexible - what I did was cut a 1cm wide channel up/down from the access hole to create the angle for the flex bit to go in. Use the camera to spot where you want it and away you go. Short sharp bursts using the power drill and reversing to clear the bit if it gets stuck is the key. Got through in about 10-15 seconds of drilling.
