One big edition of Byrne's terrific 1990-1992 run, great seller!
Contains the entire John Byrne, John Romita Jr., Paul Ryan, Bob Wiacek, etc., run, 1990-1992. I love every issue, but Armor Wars 2 is absolutely the best, one of my all-time favorite Iron Man arcs. Seller is great, thanks!

The Greatest Mandarin Saga Ever Written
This Iron-Man Epic Collection is the best example of what can be done with this type of collection. It contains all twenty of John Byrne's run as writer of Iron-Man . It starts with Iron-Man #258 (July 1990) and ends with Iron-Man #277 (January 1992). Byrne does much foreshadowing so that even though Iron-Man would not battle The Mandarin for over a year he started the storyline right from the start.John Byrne does not get nearly enough credit for his role in the history of Marvel Comics. In the 1970's and 1980's I consider him to be the most important artist who was working for Marvel. In 1988 he returned to Marvel after his reboot on Superman. He worked on StarBrand, West Coast Avengers and She-Hulk. After leaving those projects he started writing and penciling Sub-Mariner and writing Iron-Man. In this book Byrne insisted his name be listed after the Penciler and Inker because he believed they are more important.Iron-Man #255 to #266 is the nine part ARMOUR WARS 2 saga which features the red headed Marrs twins that Byrne created in Sub-Mariner as the main bad guys. It also makes good use of The Living Laser. It is powerful story as Tony becomes trapped in his own armour. John Romita Jr. does the art for all nine issues and it is very dynamic and powerful. This was his second run on Iron-Man and where he developed the style which has made him one of the most popular artist's of our time. Bob Wiacek also does an excellent job inking this entire volume except for one back up story.Iron-Man #267 and #268 is two part re-telling of the ORIGIN OF IRON-MAN. In this version The Mandarin plays an important role in this new retcon. Paul Ryan comes on board as regular penciler. While he is no John Romita Jr. he has a clean nice style and Wiacek's inks make the change not that jarring. This story is serves as good prequel to saga which follows.DRAGON SEED runs from Iron-Man #269 and ends with the double sized Iron-Man #275. For my money this is an even better written story then his first arc. Fing Fang Foom plays a very large part in this story as we find out both his and The Mandarin's origin. Without spoiling too much just let me say I loved the part about the crashed Starship. In this storyline Tony goes to China looking for a cure for the nerve damage done to him and gets a new love interest in the form of Dr. Su Yin. This is another well done story element. M.D. Bright does one fill in penciling job and Tony DeZuniga does full art for a back story in #275.THE OCKTOBER PROJECT is the final two part story from Iron-Man #276 and #277. It guest stars or more accurately stars The Black Widow. Natasha goes up against Government's Norad Project and Tony is dragged along for the ride. This is the weakest story of the book. With amount of foreshadowing Byrne did with the Widow in the previous volumes I can't help but believe Byrne did have more planned then this simple story we got, but changed things so that it ended abruptly with his departure. For extras we get Marvel Age articles, Marvel Universe Trading Cards, Marvel Handbook Entries and pin-ups from Marvel:Year In Review and Marvel Swimsuit Book.My Highest Recommendation

John Byrne!! John Romita Jr!!!!

Byrne's Fantastic Run
This is the second Iron Man Epic Collection, after the earlier The Enemy Within, and retains the high production quality of the first book while containing even better stories. This volume (Volume 16 of the eventual complete run) covers the years 1990-1992, and includes the entirety of legendary creator John Byrne's run as writer. As ever, Byrne shows mastery of well-plotted, complex storylines, while bringing a real freshness and verve to the adventures of ol' Shellhead. The first half of the tome covers the 'Armor Wars II' story, in which Tony Stark has to fight against his very body (as well as a few old supervillain foes) when an unknown enemy finds a way to control his every movement. It's a great, epic tale that really plays up the classic Iron Man theme of man vs machine, as well as the relationship between Tony and his closest friend Rhodey. John Romita jr., a legend in Marvel comics himself, provides the stellar art for these issues, making sure every action scene fizzes and pops with raw energy. After that, new regular penciller Paul Ryan, no slouch in the art stakes himself, takes over for a quick two-issue retelling of Iron Man's origin, as intriguing new links to his greatest enemy begin to emerge. It leads us straight into the Dragon Seed Saga, another epic plot (and one which has been gradually built up in the background of the previous arc) that takes Tony and Rhodey to China as Byrne revamps classic Iron Man foes the Mandarin and Fin Fang Foom, making them a true villainous force to be reckoned with. It's a brilliant arc, filled with cinematic moments and strong character building. To cap off the collection, we have the two-part title story, which sees Iron Man team up with the Black Widow to thwart impending nuclear Armageddon. It's just as assured as the longer storylines, and cements just how good this run of comics is. If you've already decided to pick up the complete run of Tony's four-colour adventures, you'll be getting this already, but even if you haven't, all fans of excellently crafted comics should consider adding this book to their collections.

Enfim, temos o Romita Jr. no auge.

Here be dragons
I had not read any of these tales before and although the artwork wasn't all to my taste it grew on me as I read on and the stories themselves are excellent.Featuring a souped up Living Laser, the Marr's twins attempt to take over control of Tony Stark's body aided by someone with a personal grudge against Stark and behind the scenes throughout all the tales the re-imagined Mandarin lurks along with Fin Fang Foom and they take up most of the latter part of the volume. It ends with the Black Widow and Iron Man joining forces with Cold War Communism v The West overtones. In full colour throughout and has a few relevant special features at the end from the Marvel Age fan magazine.
