Bedside Pistol Gun Holster; Home Defense

This inexpensive bed holster is perfectly satisfactory. The main reason I'm offering a review is just to state that I've had no problem whatsoever with the holster slipping out from beneath the mattress under the weight of my 9mm -- none.I've read reviews here mentioning that others had experienced slipping, but I ordered it, anyway, secure in the knowledge that duct-taping a longer strip of cardboard or heavy cloth to the bottom of the holster (that would extend farther under the mattress) would be all that was necessary to hold it in place. That remedy would be applied completely out of sight so as to present no objectionable eyesore. Fortunately, I did not find that necessary, but any owner who does experience the problem can fix it almost effortlessly at no additional cost in about three minutes.

The product is very well constructed with excellent materials. Problem is I can't use it for it's intended purpose. The tab that is to fit under the mattress is simply too short to support the weight of a bedside weapon. It is about 5 inches deep and unless your mattress and springs have metallic edges, the tab slants down and to the outside and any amount of weight I have tried will cause the holster to slip out of its position and end up on the floor. Alpha has a great start and hopefully they can improve upon the design. In the interim, if I slip the tab of the holster, doubled over into the waistband of my slacks, it holds the weapon nicely.

This is a good idea if you want access in the middle of the night great for small to medium pistol the thing that need to be improved is the flap that goes between mattress and platform to make it more secure but overall just what we needed.

Nicely designed for the gun fit and a place for a small flashlight - but the tongue that slides between the mattress and box springs needs to be about 3 inches longer for a more secure fit.

the only problem is when it arrived it had a quarter size hole/tear in it and the material is unraveling. there was a notice in their from the USPS stating "WE CARE". and that they were sorry for the damage and that they try every effect not to damage items but it sometimes happen.....oh well I have notified the seller to see what can be done.

it works fine.only thing is the part under mattress could be alittle longer. if using a full size weaponi would recommend it

Not much, but cheap enough. Seems like it should have some kind of Velcro, or something to hold it stationary. I have a flex-bed, and it falls out if I sit my bed up to watch TV.
