Good idea for certain cases
Well, it's a good idea for most injuries. But my dog has a front paw injury and could get to his paw easily with this. We were hoping to get him out of a cone. Also note, dog cannot rest their head as the cushion around the neck holds it up so high. Something else to think about. Returning.

A life saver!!!!
Omg this was exactly what we needed!!! I was nervous cause there were some mixed reviews, and my dog is 92lbs with a BIG neck. But this works perfectly!! He was just neutered and kept licking his stitches. We were given the biggest cone they had from the vet (because of his size) and it made him depressed, restless at night, he bumped into EVERYTHING, he couldn't see around himself or reach his food bowl. :( With this he's happy, comfortable, can eat, see around himself and still stops him from reaching his wound. I got the XL and it fits comfortably, with room to spare thanks to the velcro. It comes with belt loops, but his collar was too big to fit through it so we just used the thin collar that came with his plastic cone and it works great! 😁

sizes say what?
okay so the size small, I have a picture I don't right now to post, but literally without snapping the small one closed, after inflating it fully, the opening is the size of a triple A battery lengthwise. No way that is going to fit what they say it will. And the packaging did say small. my puppy is only 4 months old, wouldn't go around her leg and if I tried it on her neck it would be animal abuse because it would choke her. Ordered a large and returned the other, fits fine. Not sure who measured what, but how about this, inflate on, put a ruler under it and post that for each size so we can see what it really fits? Chew proof, still inflated and I hope it holds up but she can get it in her mouth through an act of amazing flexibility, ( I haven't see it but I really think she can bend her head backwards and bring it back between her hind legs and look forward), so no way this is going to make it. She ate the plastic arm off an outside lounger, into pieces. only a matter of time and she will chew her way out of the collar. but it only has to last 10 days!

Decent Alternative To The Cone Of Shame
This worked fairly well for our dog post-operatively. Pros: The collar held air well for the entire 2 weeks of use; my dog wasn’t able to reach his sutures (neutered); he tolerated it well, unlike the traditional Elizabethan cone. Cons: My dog seemed uncomfortable when he was trying to sleep with it on (made him snore too), and he was able to chew holes into the clear plastic shield that’s attached. Tips: To inflate, pinch the valve while blowing it up; be sure to thread your dog’s collar through attached loops on the inner side of the inflatable collar and fasten. Otherwise, your dog may pull it off (speaking from experience!).

Best option so far
My pup was just had rear end surgery and the hard standard cone he was sent home with was to cumbersome. This looks comfortable like a pillow he can sleep with and be more comfortable than without it.We ordered XL, but given that there is a velcro connector, we could have got away with a Large size and it would have had a tighter fit.

So far so good
Decided to try the donut in place of a cone, my poor boy is prone to getting hot spots and the cone makes him miserable and I feel like his ears get extremely dirty when wearing a cone. So we’re trying this out instead! So far no complaints, I put it on and he hasn’t even trying to shake or paw it off like he does with a normal cone. My other dogs don’t avoid him now either! (I imagine having a cone shoved in their face isn’t pleasant when my boy tries to interact with them) I imagine he’s going to have a much easier time drinking and eating now too! So I’ve got high hopes for it!

Was comfortable for my Great Dane, but didn't stop him from licking at all.
I really wanted this product to work because I hate sticking the cones on my dogs. Unfortunately, it only worked for about a day because as soon as my great dane wasn't nervous with it on he went right back to stretching out his neck to reach all of the areas he wanted to lick so now I am back to ordering a cone. On the positive side, he slept just fine with it on, played with our other dogs, ate, drank, etcetera, which would have been great if it had stopped him from licking.

So much better than a cone
Our puppy had to wear a cone for 2 weeks until his stitches came out. This collar so much more comfortable for him. He wore it day and night and was able to do everything he wanted without difficulty. The night before he got the stitches out, he chewed the valve off of it and deflated it. He is very long and flexible but was unable to reach the stiches with the collar on.
