Back when I started decorating cakes my kit was like a large tackle box. It was unwieldy and took up a bunch of space. After a while I had to part with it for logistical reasons.This is a perfect upgrade to those who aren’t dedicated to cake decorating but more a hobbyist. Although it would be a great travel kit for on the go decorating needs.The price is great.Very happy.

I bought this to start my at-home cake decorating kit. For the money, the kit comes with a little of everything I needed for the cupcakes I made for my child's first birthday party. I will be replacing some of the items with higher quality ones as the years go on. I worked in a commercial bakery for many years, and did some basic decorating there, so I'm far below a professional, but a little above your typical at-home baker. This kit provided me with everything I feel I need, a great array of decorating tips, and easy storage to keep it all together. If you are experienced in the cake decorating business, keep looking. If you are starting out, this is a great little kit.

All you need is nearly packaged. I loved it. Unfortunately, the directions were less than helpful. With experience, you can look and see what can be used for the design you had in mind. Sometimes that extra notch or ridge gives you a different design that you expected. I use them just fine making beautiful designs.Note that the tips are weak and are somewhat easily damaged. Many of these are not interchangeable with Wilton.
