Hate it or love it
The only script for theatre adaptation approved by Fitzgerald's Estate. Hate it or love it, it's an essential to have if you're doing research for auditions or actually putting the play on stage

A brilliant adaptation that captures the imagination and transports it far beyond the realms of our world.

A poor rendition of the great novel which remains elusive to movie versions, and this stage adaption. Levy missed the great essence of Fitzgerald's prose, although he uses much of the author's words throughout his script. Gatsby is not a villain, despite his financial crimes, but rather the only hero in the book next to the observer, Nick. Gatsby is the ultimate infatuated fool, who refuses to believe the love he had love ago has died and can not be recovered. There in lies his nobility. His sad, tragic nobility.

Not the correct play
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this to read as a potential play for my students. The first one I ordered got lost in transit so I had to place a second order. I was so happy when it finally arrived only to be instantly disappointed. I opened the script and the cover page was for a different show. Act One is The Goat by Albee and Act Two is Gatsby. So not only did I not get he whole script I wanted- I got half of two shows.

Don't buy to use as active classroom aid
Poor adaptation of the novel. Way too much information/story is changed and that seriously undermines the meanings within the story. Purchased to use in a classroom setting, but put aside when specific parts were missing.
