Pollen, allergens, various fuel-based contaminants from the outside road environment all pass into and are filtered by your vehicle's Cabin Air Filter, or CAF. A TYC CAF is designed to have the same or better filtration efficiency as the original equipment filter: its identical dust load capacity ensures the same amount of particulate-collecting power, while factory-correct level of pressure drop ensures proper air flow through the vehicle's cabin. Each TYC CAF also comes with step-by-step installation instructions for ease of replacement.

Replace these yourself!
Dealers want to charge you $80 to replace these simple little filters. For about $10 you can buy this and complete the job yourself. We do this on all of our cars, this particular filter goes in to a 2012 Hyundai Accent. For that car all you have to do is open the glove box and unhook a little plastic clip on the right side and squeeze the ends in so it drops down all the way down. Behind it you squeeze the two little black clips and pull out the filter. There are no tools needed and it takes less than two minutes!

It fits my 2014 Veloster Turbo just like fitment guide said it would
Pros: It's a filter. It fits my 2014 Veloster Turbo just like fitment guide said it would. Do not take these to install at the dealerships, Hyundais/Kias have most accessible cabin filters on the market. Dealership wants $60 for parts & labor for this job. I spent $10 on the filter and installed it myself in <5 min.Cons: None, It's a filter..On a side note: If you bought this and it doesnt fit your car - you are the only one to blame. There are many resources out there to check fitment. This is a website for TYC http://tyc.mycarparts.net/ Enter your year make and model and it will give you OEM part # for it. Verify that the part # matches on amazon and order. All aftermarket manufacturers will use same number, so if TYC 800029P fits your car so will Purolator 800029P, and K&N 800029P, etc.

2012 Hyundai Tucson - Works, but you'll have to ...
2012 Hyundai Tucson - Works, but you'll have to trim the border to get it to fit correct. Most of them do this. Last time I bought this brand it fit perfectly, without trimming. Was the 1st time I found one since I've owned the car. Thought I had it made, but had to trim last night again. :(

Looks pretty close the OEM filter except for the color
I purchased this filter after I had an oil change at the dealership and they told me it would be close the $50 to replace the cabin filter. Saw this for $10 and decided to give it a try. Filter is the right size for a 2013 Hyundai Tuscan after I took a razor blade and trimmed down a bit of the cardboard lip on the outside edges. Overall for the savings of filter cost here over the dealership replacing it, I don't mind the little extra work. Looks pretty close the OEM filter except for the color, the original was a light grey and this one is white. Seems to be the same quality build as the OEM filter also. Will definitely buy again when the filter needs to be replaced again.

Great item at great price.
My tire and service center (sounds like a rock in flames ;-) ) quoted me a price of $57.99 to replace this filter on my vehicle. I much prefer this price (under $9.00). Doing it myself following the owner's manual instructions took less than 5 minutes. Thank you.

2014 Hyundai Tucson may require trimming...
It's a simple cabin air filter. I wouldn't ordinarily bother with a review since it filters air, nothing more nothing less. However, I ran into an issue when installing it in my 2014 Hyundai Tucson: The filter required some trimming to get it to fit. Because the filter doesn't have any sort of frame to keep it rigid, it buckles pretty easily if the fit is snug. That's exactly what happened with mine, and, once it buckles it's nearly impossible to get it in. After fussing for a bit, I eventually took a razor blade to the outer edges of the filter, which were raised considerably from the filter itself. I shaved them down flush with the filter and after doing so, the filter slipped right in.This filter is supposed to fit the 2014 Hyundai Tucson and I suppose it does if you insert it extremely gingerly. Just beware that if it does buckle, pretty much your only option is to trim it up some.

It DOES fit my 2012 Sportage like its 2007 predecessor
I traded in my 2007 Kia Sportage LX stick shift 2WD last year for a 2012 auto 4WD model. Last time I went to Dealer they told me I should have them change the cabin filter next oil change (for like 75 dollars, don't think so!) I had bought a few of these for my 2007 and still had one left after learning to do it myself on the 2007. Figured why not try it.Perfect fit! Some websites will tell you the 2012 is different and some say it isn't. Maybe it depends on submodel? Amazon said it wont fit but it did. I can only tell you this fit both my 2007 and 2012 with no problem in either! BTW - Much easier to get the glove box to drop down in the 2012 and the filter slot is higher so is easier to get to as well.I have no problem with this and will order 2 of them for the 2012. I am happy.

Perfect fit !
I made sure this fit my 2005 Tucson by using the Amazon.com "garage". I will post a pic of the filter that I removed and I'm pretty sure this is the first cabin filter replacement ever done on my car. I bought it from CarMax June 2006 and it has 59,000 miles on it.It lives, un garagaed, in the North Ga. Mtns. and so the field mice have a field day wintering over under the hood and in the spare tire compartment. A custom top quality car cover does not keep them out. When I pulled out the old filter, per the UTube video, the mice had eaten a hole in the filter and stored acorns in the fan compartment. I had a heck of a time squeezing my hand in the tiny slot where the filter holder fits, to get the acorns out of the fan. (I wondered what the chatter was, when I turned the fan on high)Anyway, I found the "remains" of some fur and I fear my fan compartment was the burial chamber when a mouse was in there and I turned my fan on.....all remains dried out so no funeral service was held. It's clean now. (no, the slot opening is too narrow for a vacuum)I used clear packaging tape wrapped around my fingers to pick up any debris in the bottom of the fan chamber, including the acorns.A lot more air comes out, no more pollen and just to ensure the little "meeces" do not chew through the paper filter again, I put a piece of metal screen over the top of the filter and cut to size. All slipped right back into the opening just fine.I'll pull out and check it from time to time to see how the screen is holding up.Highly recommend this filter !!!!
