Cheap And Cheerful - update
Used to cut 2 holes in 10mm porcelain tiles for shower valve. Knocked up a guide from 12mm ply with a 50mm hole. Gently clamped over ply/tile and 18mm OSB. Used ordinary hand held 240v drill with variable speed and a mug of water. Took about 15 minutes and this cut 2 very clean holes. Can't see it lasting very long and whilst not a tool for the tradesperson, at the price it's good value. Just be patient !Update: After another couple of dozen holes with larger drills, the performance is still v'good. I have just used the 6mm drill however and the performance was dismal. The diamond facing on the bottom of the drill which does all of the cutting simply disappeared after 2mm of cutting into a porcelain tile. The 8mm drill performed much better.

It works!
I was looking for a diamond hole cutter to cut a couple of holes in some bathroom porcelain tiles. As I only wanted to drill two holes I didn't want to spend too much money, but on the other hand was a bit wary about spending too little on a product that did not work. Long story short, this cutter did the job. Using it as per the instructions was a waste of time - it just kept on slipping. However, creating a 70mm template using a piece of plywood allowed me to complete the job. I clamped the wood to the tile and poured water into the hole to keep the cutter cool. Use a slow speed and stop every minute. The photo of the cutter shows what it looked like after the two holes were drilled. Probably good for another couple of holes, but I would look at something more substantial if you are needing to drill a lot of holes.

Perfect for porcelain
Bought a set of these so I could drill through 10mm porcelain tiles and they were perfect - got 6 x 16mm holes drilled in about 10 minutes (kept a trickle of water running to keep everything cool) and the cutter is still fine :)
