Best looking Copper John's I've ever seen
Best looking Copper John's I've ever seen! The attention to detail is remarkable and looks even better in person than they do in the photo. I'm a tenkara fisherman and pulled a really nice little 13" trout within 2 minutues with one of these. The little guy put up quite a fight and my fly still looks like new.I don't usually buy single type multiple sized flies like this. I don't know if I'll ever use the smallest pair.. which drives up the price per "useable" fly in my box, but then again.. if it's a consitent producer... even at $3 a pop.. the quality is there and well worth the price.If I had my wish though I would like to see these sold in packs of 2 or 3 of the same size. I would love to have a couple of more 14's in my box, but I won't be paying $10 just to get the 2 I really want. Once my 14's are worn or lost.. will I be back to buy again? Not likely.In a nutshell:- Quality: Excellent!- As a Copper John "starter" set: Excellent!- Value: If you fish multiple sizes regularly.. Excellent. If you have a favorite size you tend to stick with.. not so much.

I haven't had a chance to use the flies yet. I'm new at fly fishing, and I understand that one fo the measures of a decent fly is the quality of the hook. The order came as expected and was timely. That's all I can say so far.

Went stream fishing in the Sierras in the middle of August and these were the preferred fly for the rainbow trout when allowed to sink deep.

Excellent tie with clear eye and case. I would recommend this company and if they keep this fine a detail with the rest of their line they should be a go to store for my fly needs.
