Best bonito flakes I have ever bought. Nice large flakes, not a lot crumbs. The packaging was GREAT, seemed to be packed with lots of care. Was not squashed at all. This chef has an awesome product, my cats are crazy for the flakes. The info on this product claims these are done in a "for human consumption" facility. That means a lot to me as I prefer to feed my pets only something that would be safe for me to consume.

My cat loves these! We’ve tried other fish flakes and he’s liked them but these he actually begs for! You can immediately tell how fresh they are. The quality is excellent and the value is great compared to lesser quality and quantity you get from a store.

My kitty Penelope is OBSSESED with Bonito Flakes. For the past 2 years we were feeding her another brand, Kitty Kaviar. Their quality has gone down hill. They arrive with half the bag pulverized and are very dry. I searched Amaxon for other brands and found AsaskoSasaki Fishy Flakes. They arrived today and are wonderful! They were all big pieces, not crushed powder, and were very fresh. Penelope went wild for them! She is a happy kitty! I already ordered another bag.

We received a sample of bonito flakes by another company when at a local pet supply store. Our kitten went nuts over it. So, thrifty as I am, looked on amazon for a cheaper alternative to the same product. I was very happy to find this product and at its price per ounce. My only complaint is that a lot of the flakes are very, very large and curling clusters -not conditioned to small mouths eating it. We have to break it up by hand really good before serving treats to our kitten, thus getting all fishy smelling at the fingertips in the process. Other than that, it's great!

Well this is simple. If you have cats and love them and want them happy, treat's go a look way towards that. Fishy Flakes is something that my cats just loved. The minute I called them they were there and waiting. Now 5 ounce seems like a little but as I explained in my video the flakes are light in weight and it is like 5 ounces of down feather there is a lot of flakes for that amount of ounces. You most also remember it is a treat not a meal. My cats had no discomfort at all from these flakes.

Switched to this from CatManDo, which had become more expensive, and we’ve now been through several bags. Great price relative to other brands, and convenient 5oz size (note, vendor only allows one bag per purchase). Large flakes without too much dust. Some notes: 1) We have two old lady cats. One is crazy about bonito flakes, the other crazy for salmon cubes. Each has no interest in the other’s evening snack. So YMMV. 2) When we get down to the inevitable dust, we either mix it lightly in wet food or with a little water for a tasty paste. If we try to use it directly, our cat snorts the dust and has a sneezing fit, so we avoid that.

I highly recommend this product. My cats love it and will eat it when they turn their noses up at other brands of shaved fish. I like that it is OK for humans to eat as well as OK for my cats. Some other brands I've bought say "not for human consumption." What's up with that? Why would I feed my cats something I couldn't eat?

Please restock this item or I am in BIG trouble! When Soph was four (she's now 15) had a run-in with a Schnauzer and became anorexic. Four thousand dollars later, feeding tube, hospitalized, and much more, she refused to eat anything for nearly two weeks until we fed her fish flakes. Since then she has become an aficionado of fish flakes. Over the years she has "tried" many until FISHY FLAKES came into order, and now she is HOOKED! SOOOO PLEASE, don't let the reserve get low or I will be unable to "explain" to Sophie why FISHY FLAKES are unavailable and (Heaven Forbid) she should snack on another brand! THANKS!
