Four Stars
Wishing that the patterns were almost all fingering weight with a yarn that isn't popular in the US.

Love, love
Love, love, love this book! The patterns in this book have more updated and modern feel to them which I love. Started on Dot Dash Cowl and Icelandic Hat using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift and they are looking gorgeous. While I found the patterns straightforward, if you're a beginner just learning how to knit and read patterns, I wouldn't recommend any of these as your first project. You definitely want some prior stranded work experience to comfortably tackle these. I would LOVE to see more books from this author. Thank you!

Great for beginner Fair Isle Patterns and Designs
To be honest, I purchased this book because there was one sweater pattern in it that I discovered online recently that looked like a great pattern to try with the perfect yarn that I might find for this to make one day. The same design is included for a hat and a cowl (possibly great for testing colors). The rest of the patterns were very simple and basic and for me uninspiring. The book has some beautiful photography and I am sure that there will be many amazing designs to come from this author in the future, this looks to be a great first start from a budding artist with lots of creative potential.Updated: I discovered a minor error in the Loki Hat Pattern. The chart does not indicate where the decreases should be using standard symbols. I was able to figure it out but just thought I would mention that. I'm sure the author would be happy to provide email support through Ravelry. Finally, the other two hat patterns do not appear to offer a crown chart.

So far, so great
I've only completed two small projects to date, but have found the instructions to be spot on and easy to follow and both projects (hat and fingerless gloves) have turned out wonderfully. Pictures are beautiful. Just what I'd expected.

Beautiful Book//Perhaps Not for Beginners
Let me start by saying that this book is full of beautiful images and creative stitch patterns. The photography is stunning and so are many of the unique patterns used throughout the book.I would highly caution new knitters from buying this book. This book is not for beginners by any stretch of the imagination. If I had purchased this book within my first year of knitting it would have undoubtedly sat on the shelf gathering dust while I honed my skills over time. The patterns are written as minimally as possible. They provide little to no instruction and even seem to leave out or leave vague a few steps in certain patterns (I'm knitting the Loki scarf).Although I wasn't thrilled with the multiple cuff patterns, I wasn't let down by them. They are very cute. I will say though that two faux turtleneck patterns is two too many. I can't really perceive of making or wearing just the neck of a sweater. I'd much rather put that yarn to use as a cowl.Overall this book is beautiful and perfect for experienced knitters. The stitch patterns are repeated and used in various beautiful ways. I'm excited to make many of the patterns in this book.I would definitely recommend this book to friends who are knowledgeable knitters or beginners who feel comfortable scouring youtube for tips.

Gorgeous
Gorgeous throughout, worth it for the photography alone. Many beautiful patterns for hats, cowls, mittens, cuffs, and two absolutely stunning sweaters. Perfect combination of traditional feel and contemporary style. Recommended yarn is fingering-weight Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift. Received the book today and am digging through my stash to cast on.

Pattern not as pictured.
The patterns are lovely but the only one I have tried thus far was incorrect and not as pictured. I modified it to look like the photo but will be paying attention moving forward with any projects from this book.

It's a beautiful book - the photos and charts are lovely
I'm torn about this one. It's a beautiful book - the photos and charts are lovely. However, I have found a few errors after only working with two of the patterns (chart errors and incomplete gauge information). I also find it very strange how many of the colorwork patterns are written to be worked flat - including the pair of mittens that I made. Working colorwork flat is very difficult, and for an item that is going to be round when it's done, very odd to make it more difficult.

A great book!
I love this kind of knitting and have made the Arrowhead Cowl. It turned out so well and the patterns in the book are so good that it's hard to decide which one to make next. Would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves to knit.

Great book for creating matching pattern sets of knitwear.
A beautifully illustrated book, full of matching hat/ scarf/ mits/ sweater patterns. The instructions are clear and well written with multiple photos of the finished work. I dove right into a faux turtleneck. Turned out wonderfully!Yes, I reccommend this book
