Prefer it to Starbucks
Ok, so this is going to sound a little odd, but I actually prefer the taste of this to Starbucks! If you’re anything like me and you love an iced coffee, but you don’t do dairy, this is one of the best tasting BY FAR! It’s smooth.. and it’s not too sweet (I usually sweeten mine with agave). It’s actually very affordable, at £2.75 a carton you’re literally getting several cups for less than 1 iced coffee at a Starbucks or Costa etc. The ingredients are not too nasty, albeit not super healthy. It’s just one of my guilty pleasures in life. I would definitely recommend it!Also, this is constantly subject to promotion and oftentimes I get this for £2 a carton!I’ve tried quite a lot, if not almost all of the plant-based alternatives out there, this is the best tasting.

On my 5th purchase
I'm on my 5th purchase so should probably write a review!I love a cold coffee to start the day and this is perfect.I'm no coffee aficionado though. I just know that I like this. It's affordable. Tasty but not overpowering. Consistent quality. Very drinkable. Gives me the kick I need to function in a capitalist hellscape...

It's good, just don't expect brilliance
So, if you're looking for an espresso hit with a splash of oat milk, this isn't it.What it is, is, good enough cold coffee for when you need a standard coffee. It's value for money compared to the similar product at Tesco so might as well buy it here. I take it to work and to uni so I'm not having to buy coffee whilst I'm out or rely on sub-par coffee. So, overall not bad. Sometimes you'll get coffee grounds in your cup if you don't shake it enough.

Lovely Taste
This is by far the best oak milk I have found. Others I have tried have a weird after taste but this one is lovely and creamy. I have had the original one and the vanilla and they ate both really nice in a coffee 😋

Tasty Oatmilk
Califia Oat milk is the perfect substitute for regular milk. Creamy and delicious but slightly sweet with rich vanilla flavor.

Very sweet, no distinct vanilla flavour...
I’m a bit torn about this review. I’m a fan of Califa milks - I love their vanilla almond and the new chocolate coconut almond milks from the chilled isle at the supermarket - and I’ve enjoyed their long life oat milk so I was sure I would like this one too...In all honesty, I found it to be quite similar in flavour to Califia’s plain unsweetened oat milk, with very little in the way of a distinctive vanilla flavour. There’s no added sugar but it’s a very sweet-tasting milk. It’s palatable enough in vegan protein shakes, coffee, cereal, porridge, chia pudding etc but there’s a definite overly-sweet aftertaste that I’m admittedly not too keen on; it’s not something I’ve encountered before in any of the Califia milks. The milk does have a smooth, even consistency though and it stays fresh in the fridge for a whole week, once opened. Taste is an individual thing but I don't think I'd get this again when I can get the same sort of flavour (without the aftertaste) with cheaper oat milks as well as Califia’s unsweetened plain version.Shelf Life:- Longlife but refrigerate once opened and use within 7 days.- Best before dates vary, I only had 6 weeks on my box this time, previously I had 7 months for a box of Califia milks.Nutritional info per 100ml: 40 calories, 2g fat (0.3g saturated), 4.6g carbs (1.9g sugar), 0.3g fibre, 0.7g protein, 0.10g salt | Calcium 104mg, Vitamin D 0.75ug.

Delicious and surprisingly versatile
I’d tried Califia oat not-milk before but not the vanilla variety, and on the strength of their regular oat milk I had high hopes for this one. Their regular oat drink is a great all-rounder replacement for milk, just slightly creamy and a good substitute in coffee (including milky lattes), in cereal, and also surprisingly tasty as a drink in its own right. The vanilla variety is much the same, which is good news. Though the vanilla flavouring makes it taste ice-creamier, the texture isn’t actually creamier, and it still ends up behaving a lot more milk in terms of thickness- and surprisingly, in terms of sweetness too, because the vanilla twist seems to add flavour more than it adds sweetness. It tastes to me like a proper vanilla pod type of vanilla too, rather than that bland vegetable-oil heavy generic ice cream version of vanilla where ‘vanilla’ ends up being a synonym for ‘flavourless’. It blends very nicely indeed with a chocolate cereal, and adds an extra dessert-like feel when mixed with some slices of banana, but you can also use it on plain muesli as the sole flavour provider and it still works.Though I thought the vanilla variety might just be a bit of a novelty, a temporary alternative to buying the regular version, it ends up being a milk substitute that I happily could use everyday for breakfast and drinks. The price of this brand seems to fluctuate at the moment as far as I can tell, but as long as it remains competitively priced for litre compared to other brands, this will now be my go-to variety next time I need to top up on not-milk.
