Tekken 3 - (PS1) PlayStation 1 [Pre-Owned]

This was one of my first forays into this type of fighting game, and it's awesome. I wish more fighting games today were like this. Not just in style, but with the amount of content that it provides. Fighting games today just rely on playing online as their main component and rarely have much single player content for people that enjoy fighters, but don't really want to spend hours practicing with one character to do any good. I would rather spend those hours learning about the characters in the story mode, or in some other mode. There is a ton of stuff to unlock, several different modes of play. Granted, the arcade mode doesn't give fully fleshed out looks into each character, but they each have a unique ending cut scene that i always found enjoyable. There is also a sort of side scrolling "beat'em up" type mode that i had a lot of fun with. And a sort of gimmicky, but fun, "Tekken Ball" mode...which is sort of a spin on volleyball. And of course, if you have some friends over, you can play VS. and fight for bragging rights. I always enjoyed playing games more with people i knew and that were there with me vs. someone possibly in another country that is just basically a really good AI opponent. Ahhh...i miss the good ol' days. Playing games with friends, actually hanging out with people instead of just talking to a headset...if that at all. Anwyay...Tekken 3 is an amazing game with a ton of replay value and several different game modes to keep you occupied. I definitely recommend it.

The best part of the game is its always competitive. You can look online and find the easiest ways to unlock a few characters and I have to say they work! I like to put the game on easy or hard mode both are fun. In my opinion one of the best features is the vs mode..when you can plug another remote controller and play against someone else..when I play against my girlfriend "which isn't into games" she gets so hype she tries to punch the hell out of me for beating her and she actually wins a number of times because she can work it..lol

I used to have this game so I know exactly what I was looking for and what I'm talking about. I purchased this based on the review pictures I saw containing the original run product: the original run disc with full color artwork, original jewel case, and the black label manual (with the letters for "Tekken 3" printed in gold leaf). This was NOT what I received! What I was sent was the "Greatest Hits" version of the game in a generic DVD case with a reprinted/homemade insert, and no manual included. I'll be returning this immediately.

The jewel case is broken and when opening it, it is more noticeable. I have to be extra careful when opening it, otherwise the bottom of the spine will break off. What matters is that the disc is in good condition with no scratches.

One of my most favorite Tekken games of all and one of the most popular video games of PlayStation 1...unforgettable. I love the music, movies or character endings from Anna Williams and Tiger Jackson especially, background stages, and so on. Whether you are a fan or beginner, you would enjoy playing this game. It is more than just playing a character (e.g. Yoshimitsu) who fights his or her opponent (e.g. Jin Kazama).

Arrived today, July 20, on the earliest projected delivery date. I once owned this game when I was younger, but was foolish and sold it. Now that I'm a collector, and more of an avid Tekken fan than I was back in the day, things have changed and I decided to order this, along with Tekken 1. I HAD to make sure I was getting the original black copy with all the manuals and inserts, and surely enough, there was a seller who sold it as I wanted it. It looks brand new, like it's never been touched. (minus the minor scratches on the disc) Plays great as far as I know since I tested it on ePSXe.

I bought a second hand CD but it's perfect! The case it's very good as the cd as well! I'm looking for this game it's been a while, it's a really Great TEKKEN game!
