Q: What's the best way to personalize the kites?

We have had people screen print on our kites. Permanent marker would also work. Keep in mind if you attach anything to the kite it will add weight and change the impact of how it's flown. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Q: Anyone know the impact of putting an approximately 29 gram object (battery and LED) on the center of the kite, is this recomennded?

It shouldn’t have much impact as long as it’s centered on the kite, or at the base of the spine. It may require a little bit more wind with the light, but only 1-2 mph. You may also want to try attaching it to the kite line ten feet or so down the line from the kite.
