I made iced coffee candles with it!

The media could not be loaded. This was easy to use. I made a few candles with this. Some candles were made with both soy and gel wax. Yes the ones that I used just gel wax on had lots of small bubbles. However, the customers say the winter ones look like it is snowing, while the underwater ones look like bubbles in the water. Both options enhance the scenery within the candle.You just have to make sure you use the 'jar in jar' candle for any decorations the may melt or catch on fire. By that I mean use a small (such as votive) candle jar for the actual candle inside a bigger jar that holds the decorations. That is what I did with the one with the Christmas decorations. The "parfait" candles are made with soy wax for the fruit and the what parts of the candle. The gel wax was used to make the "syrup" for the parfait candles.

I’m new to making candles so I decided to try using gel this time around instead of the usual soy wax. The gel was is very sticky but peels away clean, something I didn’t expect. My first rookie mistake was that I was using the same methods when making soy candle. Make sure you are using a heat source that’s going to reach higher temperatures . Gel wax cools down rather quickly to my surprise. I ended up throw away my melting pour pot because it was a hassle to clean it. The consistency is like a firmer jello and a lot stickier. I will buy more of this gel . Practice makes perfect.

I choose the high density gel wax for my candles because you can use a higher amount of fragrance in it. There is only one company that makes gel wax so I guess they can charge what they want but personally I feel it is way too expensive.

I received three bags, on one of them the wax has some dirt or mold in the corner. I’ll have to cut it out.

The gel holds up nice in soy wax.

This gel is great for my drink candles.
