Loud and Clear
I've got a cheap Cobra CB installed in my SUV so I can pretend I'm a trucker. So far I haven't had much luck getting any real truckers to hear me. You know who CAN hear me though? Anybody standing within about 500 feet from the front of my truck as I bark orders and make weird noises through my sweet PYLE PSP8. Installation is only as difficult as you make it. It comes with everything you would need to install it pretty much anywhere you want. I chose to install mine under the radiator behind the bumper. Because of where I chose to put it, I needed some longer bolts, but I could have picked an easier place to screw it in under the hood. I like to have everything as factory as possible so I decided to splice in a few extra feet of audio cable so I could run the wire invisibly around the engine compartment and bring it through the firewall with the main wiring harness on the driver's side. It plugs right into the back of your CB and that's it. It's powered by the CB so you don't need to run anything else. Now the $10,000 question...is it loud? Like I mentioned, I have mine mounted in what I felt was the ideal location on my truck. It is bolted to the frame directly behind a series of vents in the bumper, so it isn't muffled at all and is coming out full strength and I can say it is really loud but very directional. If you are off to the side of the truck it doesn't carry as far. I had my oldest son help me experiment by walking straight out from the truck and talking to him the whole time. We stopped at about 100 yards because it was annoying the neighbors, and he said it was just as loud 100 yards away as it was 10 yards away. It's been mounted for about 2 months now and seen about 2000 miles on the truck, including some long hauls (picked that up from listening to the CB) and it is holding up just fine. It has also been great for embarrassing my kids by announcing my presence at sports practice and school pickup, "Hey James! I'm here!! Hurry up! Run!! Run!!!" I highly recommend this speaker! It's a cheap and super fun mod for your vehicle that I guarantee you will enjoy. EDIT APRIL 2018 I’ve had the speaker hooked up for about 9 months now and driven it through snow and monsoon level rain and mud and every other nasty condition you can think of. I’ve driven in 100+ degree weather and sub zero temperatures with it and it’s still working just like the day I installed it. I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much out of this little horn, but it has really surprised me! EDIT August 2018 Hey guess what? It’s been about a year since I hooked up this little beauty and she is still just as loud and annoying as ever! I used it just the other day to announce my arrival at a friend’s place of business and they were remarkably embarrassed! Well done Pyle! This horn should come as standard equipment on every new truck sold in the US.

10 FOOT, "NOT" 10 INCHES
Not sure how it's advertised on Amazon as inches instead of feet but it is in fact a 10 "foot" cord. I've purchased this particular PA speaker two other previous times. It performs very well, and reliability for many times longer than it's advertised life. Louder than you can expect, but not as loud as an amplified PA speaker, but pleasing. But for myself as volunteer search rescue, it is plenty loud enough. This time of purchase, it is connected to a tuned President McKinley CB radio, and mounted between on the center downward support beams of a radiator shroud, and grill to a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. My other two were installed on the back of the house, and on a front loader. So I have purchased this particular item, three times. And the older two still perform as they did when new. Keep it out of sunlight, and out of high debris areas.

Lightweight, easy to install, and loud
The build quality on this speaker is a little chintzy (it’s almost completely lightweight plastic), but overall I’m pleased with the performance and ease of installation. The unit is extremely light, so I mounted it on my air box with a 3M sticky pad. It was low enough to clear the hood and the speaker is plenty loud. I really have no use for a PA, but my radio was equipped with it and it was cheap and easy to install. I’m happy with it.

Effective and Affordable - 3rd Generation 4Runner
I installed this PA horn while I was installing my CB, just because I thought it would be fun, and potentially useful. The cost made it a no-brainer. Provided you have the space in your engine bay (or somewhere else protected from flying debris), it mounts right up. Mine went on the bottom of the radiator mount, just inside the bumper's lower cowl. Mine is slotted, so I faced it directly out of the slots for a clear acoustic path. I just backed out an existing bolt, sandwiched the mount between, and reinstalled the bolt. I fished the wire through the fire wall and into my dash, which plugged straight into the back of my Uniden CB. The sound quality is not shabby at all. It isn't a music speaker, but voices are clear and crisp. The volume, at least on my CB, is controlled by the main volume knob. Plenty loud enough for making yourself heard. I've only had it in for a few days, so I can't speak to its longevity, but it seems to be quite well made, especially considering the price.
