Another good one
Another good, scary story. It was pretty intense with a good twist. I liked most of the characters, especially the neighbors, and the story worked.A few errors here and there but not enough to make me stop reading.

Better than expected
When I first saw the title I assumed it was a knock off of a similar title. But then I thought but you loved the original - why not give it a try. And I’m very glad I did. After you get by the opening definition of characters - pay attention and hang on to you seat! Once this book gets going it’s off to the speedway! And it really doesn’t stop until the end. There is not just one plot here but over lapping plots and you’re not sure which ones are important because one by one various plots are brought to the forefront. And once they are the whole tenor of the book changes - from good to excellent. And then there is the conclusion. A whole new aspect of what a book can be. All the various plots begin to wind together resulting in an explosion of “whoa what is going on” this is so cool. And it is so satisfying an ending as well. Bad guys get punished. Bad guys change into good guys. It is very well done. Nice job Boris (I like your name too)

Haunting
This story was good for the length, it kept me moving along with the story to find out once you got to around page 70 I believe when the music starts to play every night and around the same time. Then you have the late night thumping. To call in a medium to discover the children, to later find out that Julia and Brad are not who they say they are. It was a little creepy but nothing that had me going omg what are doing or what are you thinking.

Apartment 401
This book was great! Very creepy and unsettling. There’s nothing like little kids staring at you that make the creep factor through the roof! And what a twist at the end!!

Great story
The writing could have been a little more skillful, but overall the story was compelling and I couldn't put it down. A very fun (and creepy) read!

Definitely was NOT expecting the HUGE twist in the end!! Awesome!
Just when you think you know how the book will end, the twist will blow you away! Very impressive. Awesome read!

A real page turner.
I must say I did not see all the twists at the end coming. Totally changed what I had been thinking about some of the characters. I love it when it surprises me!

It's payback time
Very creepy. The story made me remember what it's like being in a new place, and being excited. However, the couple that bought in that apartment stayed a lot longer than I could have (which would have been about 0 minutes after the first incident). I was quite surprised by the twists. I hadn't read a haunted story for a while, and I was really happy having my spine chilled.

An author not be missed!
Apartment 401 - 5/5By Boris BacicVengeful spirits are scary enough, but add in the spirits of mistreated, orphaned children and you have got one hell of a horror novel! This story had a brilliantly spooky atmosphere with a great sense of mystery with it too. The whole time I was wondering what the twist would be - and I did not see that ending coming!I really liked the characters in this book, especially Travis. I would have liked to have known a bit more about Raquel and Cody as I would have loved to see how Cody dealt with and interacted with the ‘problem’ in the apartment.Overall, I loved this book and I can’t wait to read my next book by Boris Bacic.

INTERESTING
This book was an interesting read. A short read. Only a couple of hundred pages. I feel like it could have had a lot more depth to it.

Some good ideas here
I really wanted to like this book. And somewhere in there was a pretty good story.A few things took away from that story. Some of the characters have odd character traits that don't seem to add anything to the plot, but are perplexing. The property manager/sales person Stephen is a smarmy loser, but it's unclear why. The couple are buying the apartment, but Stephen seems to be reviewing applications like they're going to rent. The couple finally arrives to get the keys and Julia is going around like she's never seen it before. Oddly, the apartment comes furnished. The book would be improved considerably by a solid edit for content and language. It reads like a first draft, and some of the author's wording choices as a non-English speaker are a distraction. That said, I loved the story, in general. It had a great deal of promise, but was handled somewhat more clumsily than it could have been.
