The flavor and aroma and texture are far more consistent than a reasonably well-regarded competitor, indicating more quality control for bean sourcing and roasting. I've noticed little or no bits of shell so far, a definite improvement on an alternative that does have occasional un-chewable bits. I only leave the possibility that there may be some, because as with anything that MIGHT have shell or pits, a bit of caution is appropriate. Some may find the flavor a bit bland compared to other brands. But the flavor there is, is pleasant, and neither excessively bitter nor off. And the aroma when first opened is noticeable compared to the competition. For anything one wants to add the texture and flavor of cacao nibs to, or even just chewing a small handful at a time, these may well be the best.

As mentioned in the title, I am going to use these for a homemade chocolate liqueur that I do every year for sharing during my Christmas party. This is the first time that I have bought this brand and honestly normally just pick up whatever I can find, when I can find them, at my local grocery store. This year the grocery store didn't have them in stock so I headed here to see what was available and decided to pull the trigger on these since they had a lot of positive reviews. These are DELICIOUS, sweeter than expected despite being unsweetened and much better than the other brand nibs I have gotten in the past. I am used to having to pick out debris from some of the other brands but there is none in this product. They're also very fresh tasting - and don't have any bad smells indicating they have sat around a long time and all the nibs I have eaten (a couple small handfuls from the bag) easily chewable. Very happy with the price and quality and will probably be making this my go to brand.

I frequently have a protein-packed smoothie for breakfast. I happened to mention to my doctor that I had ramped up my protein intake with the smoothies, but that I missed having something to chew. She siggested adding cacao nubs to it. I'd never heard of them. I first ordered just a small bag. After I pour the smoothie into my glass, I stir just a teaspoon in each glass. That adds a very satisfying crunch to the drink. When the small bag was getting low, I ordered the 1 pound size. The nubs don't turn my smoothie into a chocolate flavor. As I chew them, a very slight chocolate flavor hits my taste buds. Wonderful product!

This has great chocolate flavor if you’re using it for a drink. The only negative is that the pieces are very large. You’ll have to use your coffee grinder to turn it into a fine ground before you use it as a hot drink. Compared to other promoted chocolate drinks, this is very good value for your money. Will buy again!

P65Warnings.ca.gov update: confused this with a cocoa product. now realize it must be chewed. nothing wrong with product. Still it will not melt.

I love these cacao nibs. They are great in smoothies, on ice cream, or on yogurt with a little bit of honey. They taste wonderful, are never stale, and I can be happy to eat something so healthy, with no sugar, and also tasty. I have these on subscription bc I use them often. This brand's quality has been consistent for me for years.

I use cocoa nibs in my hot cereal whenever I'm in need of a special boost. It also works well in smoothies, cookies, on top of ice cream, etc. Personally, I don't like it on my yogurt, but you might love it. You can also use a mortar and pestle to grind it into cocoa paste. This is the original way to make hot chocolate. It will also build up your arm muscles. 😉 I keep a 1 Tablespoon scoop in my bag just so I don't go crazy with it. Honestly, the pure unsweetened chocolate smell and taste is quite pleasant. It has none of the bitterness of cocoa powder. I've had other brands, and I rank this one in the top 3. It appeals to all 5 senses, and is very satisfying, even without any sugar. Give it a try in your favorite recipes. You may need some time to adjust to the lower sugar, but once you do, you will appreciate the real, fresh chocolate even more. Recommend for everyone, cooked or raw, as a topping or ingredient.
