Simply put, for the penance I paid for this violin, you cannot find anything better. I paid less than $150 for this violin. For that money you get a violin, with working fine-tuners, an under saddle pickup so you can go electric, a decent case, rosin, and a functional bow. Basically a complete ready-to-play kit of an instrument that is extremely versatile.I did need to do a basic setup and make some adjustments to the bridge height, but for this kind of money I expected that. It's easy to see where the cost savings came from, it isn't really an ebony board, it's painted black to look like ebony, as one example. But considering that it sounds fine and plays fine and it comes with all of the accessories, who cares?A perfect beginner instrument for a young kid showing interest in learning violin. Also a perfect tinker-toy instrument for the violin-curious musician to play with.

No good, connected to speakers and no sound at all, string were getting damaged and wasn't able to play it at all

The case came damaged, looks like it left the shop that way and it should have been at least fixed before sending out. About a inch was apart on top of the case, thread hanging. For the 🎻 and bow it was perfect. It's very pretty and a 12 year old girl will be so happy when she opens christmas eve. Had back surgery so just getting around to do reviews.I would order again but when people pick you to order from at least give them something that isn't falling apart already.

Bought this for my daughter. 4 year student. She's has a nice violin we bought from music store, but she really like the look of this one. For the price i figured we would try it. This one was less than what we paid for her other one.... the tone actually sounds better and projects louder also. And loves it, just got it today and she has been playing for an hour already, no sign of stopping. She dose not practice her other one like this. Not sure if it's the butterfly's or tone... but it is working for her. And got it tuned fairly quickly. Well worth the money.

Doesn't stay in tune (pegs slip). Strings are extremely poor quality and 2 broke during tuning. By the time you buy better strings and pegs you might as well have just paid the extra money for a higher quality violin. It is a beautiful violin though which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

Unique as sonically pleasing.

I love it. I started taking violin classes and this instrument worked out perfectly especially because it’s inexpensive (especially in comparison to professional or semi/professional violins hehe)
