The skillet is quite heavy but this is not an issue, just shows it's quality.I use the skillet on my fire pit but you can also use it on a conventional gas cooker which is great considering the British weather.It was easy to put together and to season. It heats up quickly and evenly so the whole skillet can be used to cook various food items.The skillet is easy to clean apart from the underside which gets covered in a black soot when used on an open fire. Just make sure to wear gloves when cleaning.I have had this skillet for over a year now and used on numerous occasions with no problems such as flaking or rust.Would recommend purchasing this skillet.

Same size, shape and just as sturdy as a Petromax but at half the price (so I bought two).

Used this for all our camping cooking. We placed mushrooms, pitta, marshmallows, and fish on it, and even left a dutch oven on there (with a whole chicken inside it) for some time. Best used when the fire's not too intense, so the food doesn't stick to it. Plenty of room for cooking a hearty meal. Gets really ashy really fast, but it's nothing a scourer can't fix. Also, to get rid of dark stains, try sprinkling some salt before you cook on it, and also rinsing it with some salt before it cools down completely. This being cast iron, it also needs a bit of seasoning with oil before you store it away.
