an excellent replacement part for anyone needing to fix a malfunctioning door latch or switch on their Samsung dishwasher. It’s easy to install and works perfectly with a variety of Samsung models.

Turned off the CB to the dishwasher and checked that there was no power. Removed the screws from the inner door panel, disconnected the electrical plug and removed the old switch. Opened the package and compared the new and the old switch side by side. They are physically different. Installed the new switch and checked that it worked. Took about 20 minutes total. Dishwasher works perfectly. If this part lasts 10 years like the OEM part it will probably be time to get a new dishwasher anyway.

A perfect fit for my Samsung dishwasher. Be sure to check whether your model is compatible with this latch/switch. Replacement videos are all over Youtube, and all you need is a torx bit screwdriver. So far so good. The latches on these dishwashers appear to be a part that fails more frequently, so for the price I also bought a backup. Have had this model for 5 years and worked perfectly until one day the door wouldn't latch. This part fixed the problem and it a DIY. Took less than 10 min. from start to finish.

I bought this part in July of 2022 to replace the part on my Samsung Dishwasher. Part worked right away with a very easy install. 8 months later in March of 2023, this part failed. Honestly, it is a design flaw on Samsung's end. I sent a message to the company through Amazon and in less then 12 hours they said if I just sent them a picture of the part, they would ship me a replacement. In less then 24 hours of contacting them, the replacement was shipped out. Just received it 2 days later and installed it in less then 5 minutes.It's your basic aftermarket part at half the price of the OEM parts but the company stands behind their products. Can't ask for more then that.

Purchased this item to replace a faulty door latch on our Samsung dishwasher. Product was easy to install, appeared to fit correctly, and after 2 washes the unit started to leak as the seal wasn't tight enough, tried cleaning the gasket, with no success, then the washing cycle would not engage. Called Samsung, and directly related to the part not being OEM, disappointed had to purchase the product from Samsung directly.

I ordered this because it Amazon choice and it had good reviews. It is a little flimsier than the original one and it took a little finessing to get it placed properly, but once that was done, it was easy to put the door cover back on. I ran a full load and it worked properly. My dishwasher is 8 years old so this latch will likely outlast the rest of the machine.

This is exact OEM replacement. Exactly the same down to the brand stamped on the switch. Excellent value.
