Greatest thing since sliced bread
I've been buying Trinidad Cookquick Refried Pinto Beans for over 2 years, and I have never been disappointed with the quality, and taste of these beans. They take only 5 to 10 minutes to prepare, which, in my experience, depends on your consistency preference when preparing the product. They taste excellent without additional seasonings, but they're fantastic when prepared to one's taste with added seasonings etc. I prepare them with jalepenos, cheese, and some chipotle seasoning to add a bit of a kick to them. They're even better if one adds just a little cooked chorizo and cheddar cheese. I've served these to guests as a side with dinner and as a simple dip. In my experience, every guest that has tasted and eaten these beans cannot distinguish these dehydrated refried beans from traditionally prepared refried pinto beans. In fact, my mother, who is Hispanic and regularly prepares refried beans from scratch, could not tell the difference. I highly recommend this product for its quality, flavor, price, and convenience. Again, they're fantastic.A side note worth mentioning: When I purchased these beans locally, the only store that carried them WAS Smart & Final. Unfortunately, the Smart & Final stores in my area can't stock their shelves fast enough to keep up with the demand.

Real Refried Bean Taste and Texture.
I love these beans! I have tried many brands of dyhydrated refried beans and this brand is my far and away favorite. The taste, creamy texture, and color are just like home made without having to cook for hours. I love being able to make only the amount I need any time I want. Most of the other brands of "refried" (Frijoles Refritos - means "well fried beans") instant beans are just "mashed" beans. Kind of like the difference between mashed potatoes and fried potatoes. They TASTE different, have different texture and color. People wanting a "refried" bean with nothing in them but beans are wanting mashed beans -- not these. "Refried" beans are fresh beans and bean juice fried in fat and mashed while they fry until the resulting beans are thick, smooth, and creamy. Totally changes the taste and texture. Refried pinto beans are mild, and very creamy, and light colored. This brand is great tasting, very easy to make, easy to keep on hand, and just all around great.

Thank you
The beans were a hit here in Afghanistan, I cook a 5 bean Chili and Mexican food for my troops, however most of the places do not mail to an APO address (Even that mailing to and APO address is cheaper than any place in United States) or their prices are grossly inflated for mailing and for the produce or both, I was real happy with the quality of the beans, the secure shipping boxes they use and the fact I got free shipping and reasonable prices in the produces.I use the refried beans for those times when my Chili have too much water, I just drop a cup of instant refried beans and now my chili is perfect, plus it gives them some extra flavor.Thank you Amazon.com from Afghanistan

Closest to the Real Thing
This is definitely a better for you and tastier than the crap out of a can. You can make it whatever consistency you want, add whatever seasonings and blends together really well. Its a must have if your frequently finding yourself eating mexican food, and don't want to invest a lot of time and labor making refried beans out of whole pinto beans. Its closest to the real thing, since literally all it is dried refried pinto beans.

as close to homemade as you can get
These are excellent, provided you make one alteration -- take a strainer and shake out as much salt as you can while they are still dry. Then follow the directions and in five minutes you'll have perfect (not too salty) refried beans.

Love these bean.
I uses to always buy canned beans that you can throw in the microwave. I have now switched do these. They taste great, they are easy to prepare and they are alot cheeper.

List ingredients
Easy to use, and tastes alright. Only complaint is that it contains TBHQ. Which is considered to be a carcinogenic compound. It should only be a problem if you eat a lot of preserved items, but hey, it's something you should take into consideration.
