Excellent product!
I bought this for my Mother, she has Osteoarthritis, diabetes and joint swelling and stiffness! She has poor circulation in her fingers also! Since I have been helping her with her wax dips every morning and evening she has seen a huge difference in her fingers, they have warmth to them now and also much more dexterity! The swelling in her hands and wrists has gone down substantially also! I have done her feet a few times but not on the schedule as her hands, I have a disability in my back (pain on a constant basis) so it's hard for me to get down to do her feet! But I am working on a way to do her feet and hands at the same time, when I get that figured out I will comment on how her ankles and feet are doing! As for the hands, 190% difference! Meaning it's a miracle tub with Paraffin wax that gives her relief, warmth, reduces swelling and gives her a huge leap forward with dexterity in her fingers! More or less this is a wonder for her, and also myself! She had to stop taking some of the prescription meds due to liver problems, after a lot of research I found this to be a pretty good supplement! I went with the professional Therabath because of all of the terrible reviews on the cheaper tubs out there, and I'm here to tell you that I'm so happy I went with the best! So is my Mother! Thank you Therabath for the excellent product and great shipping! This thing was packed very well, they made sure I received this item in perfect new condition! Fast shipping also! Great online purchase through Amazon, would definitely recommend to anyone needing this for therapy!!! My Mother and I are HAPPY and TOTALLY SATISFIED!!!!!

Great for Aching Joints
I've only had the therabath for one week, but so far it has lived up to expectations. I use it twice a day on my hands because of a sore right wrist and thumb joints on both hands. The bath is the size of a large, oval crockpot & I keep it plugged in all the time on the counter in my second bathroom. I do both hands in the morning when I eat breakfast by bathing only one hand at a time. Then I can eat and read the paper at the same time. As the reader can guess, I am retired so mornings are no longer a rush. I use the bath a second time in the evenings as I watch television or read. The directions say that it takes 8 hours to melt the 6 pounds of paraffin that comes with the unit. It only took 1 1/2 hours for that amount to melt for me, so I started using it right away. I saw this product used on hands in a hospital setting, and the heat brought the patient relief. By watching, I learned that all you need is a plastic bag large enough to slip over your hand and an old towel to wrap around your hand. You dip your hand slowly into the wax that is between 120 - 125 degrees, (there is no temperature switch-the heat is preprogrammed) then lift your hand up and redip in the same manner 6 or 7 times. The more times equals the amount of heat that is retained, so you will probably need to experiment. Then you quickly wrap the plastic bag around your hand, foot or elbow, etc. and finally wrap the plastic bag on your hand, etc., in a large towel. A large towel keeps the heat in better than a skimpy one. The treatment is very soothing and is even good for dry or cracked hands. I plan to use it in the winter also for the latter reason. After the wax has cooled, you unwrap your hand, etc. and peel the wax back into the unit to be reused. The plastic bag lasts for quite a few uses--in seven days I have replaced the original once. I even recycle the wax in the bag that is in small clumps & easy to pick out. Be sure to register your unit with the company. A six page information sheet is generated with the registration that has some interesting & helpful information. My hands & wrists do feel better after each treatment & I am able to do painless finger/wrist exercises after the treatment. I know that this is the same type of regimen used by physical therapists--heat followed by exercises.

THE BEST!!!!!!!
This paraffin wax bath system is amazing. I did a lot of research before purchasing a unit. I have a career where I physically use my hands in the same position all day long, therefore I suffer from frequent hand and wrist pain. I have family members who work in assisted living homes and take care of a lot of elderly with arthritis, and various joint pains. My sister in law recommended getting a professional unit. I spent weeks, if not longer, researching different units. At first I thought that I wanted a unit where I could change the temperature, mainly because I wanted to make sure that the wax would get hot enough for my hands. I have had them dipped before and the unit was one where you could change the temperature. That was my main concern with this unit. However, after doing a lot of research, the temperature on this unit sounded like it stayed pretty hot, and I also was attracted to the fact that you could leave it on 24/7, as well as the larger size. I am SO HAPPY that I chose to purchase this unit, and I am 100% satisfied.I have used my unit almost every day since I received it. The wax didn't take that long to melt initially, because it is a beaded wax (as opposed to being a solid brick of wax). I would say it probably took about 2.5 hours or maybe 3, and that was melting 4-5 packs of wax, so that was great. I have left my unit plugged in since I received it (about 1 month ago).I LOVE that it is always ready for me to dip my hands. It functions similar to a refrigerator in that kicks on and off as it needs. There is no sound coming from it except you can hear a little "click" when it kicks on or off, which is not annoying or loud at all.The unit itself is nice and deep and large. My husband wears a size 13 shoe and I know for sure his foot will fit in this. We haven't dipped our feet yet, but plan to soon. We can dip our hands and cover way up on our wrists and lower arm too. I have purchased more wax from therabath and plan to continue to as I love the beaded wax, since it melts faster. Personally I haven't changed the wax yet, I just make sure to scrub my hands good before using the unit.As for the temperature -- it is perfect. Seriously. It feels a little hot when you first take the lid off but I love that feeling, and you could just take the lid off for a minute or two before dipping to cool it down. It isn't anything "unbearable," just a nice warm heat, which is what you want anyways to get your circulation increased. The lid is easy to take on and off with no slip issues.I would FOR SURE buy this unit again, it is wonderful. Don't look any further, seriously, seriously worth the purchase!!
