First off, I did not receive a discount, paid full price and actually have a beard. With that out of the way, this stuff is what I've been searching for for a very long time. I almost didn't purchase it as I have spent a small fortune and resigned myself to the belief that what I'm after doesn't exist. Thankfully it does and this is it! I have tried so many “beard waxes” and all have left something to be desired. I have been searching for a beard wax that was as firm as possible while still actually being useable in the beard. What I found were ones with either laughable hold or were so firm that they were unusable in the beard and should only be considered a stache wax. I have also found a couple that are pretty good though the hold doesn't last for more than an hour or so. In comes “The Bearded Goon's Ridiculously Strong Beard and Mustache Wax” which has an incredibly firm hold. So firm that this is one step away from being solely a stache style wax. And, it's still useable in the beard. It takes a little effort scrapping it out with a thumbnail but still doable. A little hand rub heat makes it ready for beard application. Hitting it with a blow dryer makes this process even easier, if you have the time for that. I recommend having your beard damp with hot water, this seems to help with application and styling also. Here's the best part, it lasts, all day! Hell your beard actually still looks good in the morning or just needs a little hand smoothing. This goes for maintenance also. If it does get a bit messed up just a quick smooth puts it right back. It also washes out just fine and smells great too. It has a very subtle clean scent that fades pretty quick, this is good. This is a real beard wax folks with all natural, quality ingredients. No chemical crap here. You can't get any better, useably stronger or longer lasting than this and trust me I've looked. This is also not a balm or an oil, if you want a conditioning product buy one of those. This is a strong hold wax, and very good at its job! Very impressed with the all natural ingredients. Seems pretty basic, but most of these products have crap in them, so this is a rare gem. Size is very small for $13 IMO... But, you don't need a lot as they direct. Just a tiny bit at a time, rub between fingers and start to pull the hairs in the direction you want. With that said, my beard is not very long; this is why I just got this wax. Although I use oils and balms to condition the facial hair, I didnt have anything string enough to keep certain areas in place even with my stuff bristle brush. It always looks better, but the wax is definitely a high hold compared to a balm which doesn't do much with shorter facial hair. I'm still deciding on how extravagant of a beard in going for. I'm trying to let the mustache gain more length so I can use the wax to pull it out and away from the lips. This is definitely getting me in the right direction, but I do think my facial hair needs to be longer. If it doesn't end up working out, I'll trim it up around the lips and let the rest go. But the wax is definitely a big help with it's high hold - I could see how those with white a bit of long facial hair could start to use this for true "shaping up." It's not too hard to use, but definitely need some time to apply it. Love the pick they include in the container to help you grab the wax, cause it's quite solid. You just need a tiny bit and then you heat it up between pointer and thumb fingers. Work it in little by little... I actually use a brush after that to try and massage it further into the facial hair, and it seems to help.

Hold is fairly decent, not much is needed, but I do need to apply it every couple hours for my mustache (an unruly deviant that seems to respect no authority) in order to hold any shape. It does a great job at keeping hairs organized and in order. The smell is very mild and not overpowering or irritating to the nose.

I don't usually leave reviews but I thought I would comment on three excellent products. I have always had facial hair but just six months ago starting letting my beard grow out. The first product I used was Badass Beard Balm, El Burista scent. I love the product and it does an excellent job of conditioning my beard. I still use it to condition and I love the scent. As my beard got longer, I looked for better hold as I work in a suit and tie environment where my beard needs to be neat. So, I turned to Honest Amish Extra Grit Beard Wax. Again, I love the product. As suggested, I also tried it as a hair product and it works great. I still use it as my hair product. But, alas, as my beard got even longer I looked for even more hold which is where the Bearded Goon Ridiculously Strong Beard Wax comes in. It works great with enough hold. It even does well with the taking of my full face motorcycle helmet on and off. Just a smoothing of the beard and everything is back in place. As others have commented, the product is easier to use if it is warmed up before applying. Three excellent companies with three great products all of which I am using in one way or another. As they say, different tools for different jobs but you can't go wrong with any of these three.

I've been using The Bearded Goon's Ridiculously Strong Beard and Moustache Wax on my beard and stache for a few days now. The product is OK but i would not say it is ridiculously strong. It is no stronger than Clubman Pinaud Moustache Wax. The consistency is good though and it goes on well. There are a couple of negatives for me however. 1. The ingredients may be natural but the smell is unpleasant to me - kinda waxy industrial petroleum. I'm usually not a big fan of aftershaves but I have to put something on to mask this. 2. The size of the tin for the price is disappointing.

This product arrived super fast for an overseas product so firstly thank you for efficient ordering and delivery process. Secondly, I have tried a few of products prior to this including general hair waxes and gel and found them giving awkward facial feel, annoying smell and variable in their hold strength. However I am very impressed with The Bearded Goon's Ridiculously Strong Beard & Moustache Wax, simple to use, smells reasonably good and doesn't linger, no awkward facial feel, holds very well (I don't need to reapply later in the day), my beard looks well groomed within minutes in the morning before heading to work and gives it a great slight shine rather than fuzzy furry look. Great product and I have already recommended it to a couple of my bearded friends.

The item that i purchased did not come to me on time but that is not the seller's fault it is the stupid postal system where i live..The seller is really good he/she answers your questions right away..About the product i have just tried it few times and it does its job for me..I didnt find it so strong but it is quite good to keep your moustache and beard in place it is a lil bit hard to apply you definitely need to put blow dryer to get it melt to be able to apply it on your moustache or beard.The smell is quite good..The most thing that i love about the product is it just contains natural ingredients...P.S TO THE SELLER:I am expecting to get a free tin of Bearded Goon's Beard &Moustache Wax as you wrote on the letter which came with my product :D

Unlike other waxes I have used, the Ridiculously Strong Beard & Handlebar Moustache Wax can be easily scraped out of the tin with a judiciously deployed thumbnail, has a really nice consistency and is easily pliable. When applied it is easily smoothed into the old 'tache, doesn't clump and with a little combing any residue is easily removed. As you can see, lots of "easily"s which demonstrates the product is a delight to use. The only slight tweak that would need to be made in order for the RSB&HMW to reach absolute perfection is if it had a nice scent. While the current faint beeswax smell is innocuous, whenever I kiss my children goodbye in the morning they ask: "What's that smell?". I am fairly sure they are referring to the scent of the 'tache wax. However, if the addition of a nice smelling ingredient were in any way to alter the consistency of the RSB&HMW, I would rather it continued to be unscented. Many thanks for helping my 'tache look lustrous and the envy of less hirsute male colleagues.

I’m reviewing this against the price I paid of £13. The actual product is very very good , I can’t fault the durability of the wax and the smell is very good and you can noticeably smell your beard for sometime after. And it’s a very strong hold which is what I was after. HOWEVER - the tub is tiny....... Not even a borrower would feel overwhelmed by its size. I placed the tub in the palm of my hand and thought that’s really small for 13 quid. I feel the company could easily double its size and still make a very good profit off of the price they’re selling it. For these reason this will be the only tub I’ll probably buy.

This has been my go to beard wax for years. It worked perfectly to keep my beard looking sharp. However, as a previous reviewer has stated, they changed the formulation last year. Now, it’s really gooey and sticky. I am not a fan. They ruined a good thing.
