Flavor
Never thought sugar could smell so good. I’m cooking from Andrew Weil’s book and this was an ingredient. Never heard of it before and even though I’m cutting down on sugar, at least this retains mineral content for the few times it will be used. Less guilt!

Has A Wierd Grassy Taste
Does not exactly have a sweet taste but a rather off earthy taste to it but if this is all natural and no refining, so be it. Must be the way nature intended. It's also very slightly moist like most brown sugars and not dry.

very good quality panela...
Thi sis the only panela in powder I used to have access, and it is good... a bit pricey, but worth the convenience where I live.
