The kit was a little hard to understand the directions.
I would say this book nook was a little hard to understand the directions. The directions and pictures were not clear. Also the lights they show after the piece is put together are not bright enough, you can barely see inside the unit. I will have to change the lights, it will be a Xmas gift, I cannot give it with this light set they provided. Looks like the bulbs they sent were a very dim blue set. I will add you should use no rechargeable batteries. I was using chargeable batteries, and that’s why the lights were dim.

Looks great but directions are a little frustrating.
It's really cute and looks great once assembled. I bought it to give my sister for Christmas and now I like it so much I want to keep it for myself (I won't but I'm gonna buy another one for me). Also, if it's of interest to anyone, it took me about a day to assemble it from start to finish. The downside is that the directions are not the clearest I've read. They use photos instead of diagrams and it's sometimes difficult to figure out what goes together and how. It's also very unforgiving to mistakes because everything is glued together. Another issue with the directions is that they don't include "wood glue" in the list of things you need to assemble it but literally everything needs to be glued together. You'd figure it out quickly but it's annoying to sit down and think you have everything you need only to find you need to make a run to the hardware store. I also recommend you have a pair of needle nosed pliers for putting things into tight areas, a set of clamps for holding bigger parts together while the glue dries and lots of clothes pins or small clamps for holding smaller pieces. I also used an old and inexpensive flat artist paintbrush to apply the glue (keep a cup of water nearby so the glue doesnt dry in the brush) but fingers would work too. Finally, the one of the wires came out of the battery box so the light source stopped working before I was even finished building it. Fortunately my father enjoys building electronics so he was able to solder the wire back into place without any trouble but it would have been really upsetting if that hadn't been an option for me.

Fun puzzle / project
Instructions were a challenge. but I got it together in 5 hours. few extra pieces that drove me nuts looking over and over again the instructions thinking I left something out. I would recommend this it was a lot of fun.

So much fun!
I had a great time putting this kit together over the holidays! It's a bit tricky, but the instructions are quite clear. They even included some extras for the small, easily-lost parts.

Tried Twice With No Luck
I would love to give a proper review of this product but I haven't gotten passed the initial parts check. I received this project and had to return it as the inner plastic was broken and a large part had been removed. The second attempt arrived today in the same condition. The inner plastic was open and the same part was missing. I give up. Returning it for a refund.

light cable is too short,
Overall a very cute product. We worked together to build this with my 14 year old daughter. It is quite sturdy. The directions could certainly be better but with close attention to detail and review of images we were able to work as a team to figure it out. The most challenging part however is the lighting process. The wires for the light - are not long enough to reach the holes where they are to be inserted for the inner light. I did not realize this until a significan way through the building process, there is no way to make them reach. I also do not see a customer service contact number anywhere. Also missing a hing for the door that is supposed to provide access to the switch to turn on and off the light. Would like to be able to contact them to ask for replacement parts.Even with this it was enjoyable to put together and the finished product is quite attractive. Wish I could figure out a way to fix the lighting issue.

Must be expierenced in crafts
I absolutely loved doing this book nook. It is for my daughter for christmas who is an author. You need to have some knowledge of crafts. I feel someone who never does any crafting will find it a little frustrating. But it can be done. My biggest complaint is the instructions are not clear cut. Common sense takes over that. I altered mine in the end to show my daughters favorite books and the two books she has written. My other daughter makes 3d fairies so I also added that. I'm really happy and proud of the out come. These book nooks done sell for hundreds. So glad this one was affordable to make!!

Well designed
Well designed laser cut wood pieces fit together well to make a cute product. Lots of glue needed, was very pleased with results.

Delivery was fast and on time. Instructions were sometimes confusing, but the end result is great. Would buy again.

Joli mais pas super bien fait
L'ensemble aurait été joli si les panneaux n'était pas tordus. Il y a des erreurs sur le plan et des pièces mal identifiées.

Disappointing purchase, badly made kit.
Worst cutebee book nook kit I've purchased. Wooden pieces missing which I had to recreate from cut-offs. Pieces misnumbered on all timber boards making it a mission to figure out which piece to use and where. The diagram instructions changed between step 7 and 12 and a major component already fixed in place had to be removed and repositioned to allow for the final steps to be completed, damaging finished sections in the process. Diagrams didn't match the pieces and how they fit together and the finished product had gaps in all joins requiring extensive gluing and clamping to get it looking remotely square and complete. Other kits I've purchased did not have these issues.
