Vintiquewise(TM) Old Style Barn Trunk/Box

It was a gift to keep my son's "treasure" in. He loves it. We've had it for years and it' still in top quality.

It is REALLY flimsy in construction, but it's like a week before my wedding, so I cut a slot in it, reinforced it where I needed to, and installed a locking mechanism.Looks good, and frankly, the amount of time it saved me from building one from scratch for an object that will almost immediately be re-gifted and/or forgotten, I'm happy with the purchase.But just beware, this thing is NOT sturdily build. The bottom of the chest is basically just a piece of veneer. Fortunately I have a bunch of tools and crap, and it didn't take long to install 1/2" MDF underneath, and some meatier wood to install a locking clasp, but if you're not handy, you might be disappointed.

Got this as a treasure chest to contain my coins for my 3-legged money toad. It replaced his old box. Overall it doesn't need much praise. It's a good box but I wish the bottom of the chest was made with some better ply wood. It's a bit thin and wobbly but I can't find fault in that. I don't think it was meant to hold as much change and as many coins as I have in there but that's on me. It's very pretty and simple. Totally recommend it as like "my first treasure chest" if you're getting it for a kid or just as a simple jewelry box, dice container or what-have-you.

It is a cute box. Very cheaply made. For $40 definitely not worth it. But I got it to decorate it to make it a card box for my sister in laws baby shower and she likes trunk boxes. So even though I feel it was a rip off I know she'll love it. I updated a photo of what it looked like after we decorated it. And she did love it so now I don't feel it was a bad deal

The chest cost a fair amount more than I'd intended to spend for a little boy's treasure chest. But, the quality is fine (good, not great) and the product arrived in a timely manner. Since my grandson was pleased, so am I.

Has an odd texture to it like the stain/top coat wasn’t quite cured, just sprayed it with a satin top coat and it worked out perfect. Awesome value!

To me, the title of a "trunk" implies something larger that one could put blankets in or something like that. But it is certainly not that big - it is more of a keepsake box. Now, if that is what you are needing it is a beautiful product. But for the price... I'd recommend you look elsewhere and certainly do NOT buy it if judging by the pictures and the term "trunk" you were thinking as I did that this was more of a chest for the floor instead of a pretty box for the mantle.

This box is very nice. It is exactly the right size for a prize chest. It looks nice, even though it is really cheply made. So far its holding up really well.

I bought this for my son to present and display toiletry items given for Xmas.He absolutely loves it. Strong, good quality and looks so authentic.Perfect size and sits on his bathroom window holding many items...see picture.I would definitely recommend.

I didn’t feel like this product was worth the amount I paid for it. I expected the inside to have a nice lining, but it was just simply a wooden chest.
