AllSpice Wood Spice Rack Organizer, 525 Unique Labels, Countertop or Wall Mount, Includes 30 4oz Jars- Matte White

If you're like me, counter space is at a premium. I also don't like a ton of clutter. I've gone through every imaginable iteration of storage: in my kitchen drawer, in a cabinet, in a spinning rack. I found each had a different drawback, either taking valuable real estate or not allowing for a large selection of spices. Two years ago, I stumbled across this and I absolutely love it. I do have it on the counter, but the unit is not deep, so it takes up very little counter space. It allows for 60 different spices, and I can customize to the spices I want (you'll see one is missing the label - hubby changed it out and a new label needs to be added. They come off easiky so you can switch to other spices). The best feature is everything is visually laid out, so you can find your herb or spice without rooting around. Amazing! The jars are glass, so safe and washable. And it comes with a wide variety of labels, most preprinted, but some blank so you can write what you want (the package even comes with a matching marker) or choose from the extensive selection that is provided). It is attractive (I've received several compliments from guests), functional, and had I found something like this 25 years ago, I would have saved myself some grief with all the wasted attempts at other storage solutions. I highly recommend.

I never write reviews. I feel I must give this company kudos for a well thought out product. I have limited space for spices and a lot of spices. This spice rack is beautiful and functional. The largest capacity I could find and very high quality craftsmanship. They have very obscure spices on their preprinted labels. I only had to make one label. If you like to cook and you love spices, it is worth the expense. It is just lovely and so functional. It will last a lifetime.

Like a few others, I have mixed feelings about this spice rack but not enough to lower the rating to a 4 star.CUSTOMER SERVICE: Excellent. I wrote to the seller with some of my comments below. The reply is included after my comments.RACK: Beautiful externally. The insert that holds the bottles, though, is thin. Just doubling the insert would add more stability to the jars. Having a thin sheet of corkboard on the far inside of the rack would also help deaden the sound of clanking one sometimes gets when inserting a jar. SELLER REPLY: They use the insert because it is high quality and can be cut into the circular holes without breaking the insert. Making it thicker would add to the shipping weight and product cost.JARS: They seem fine, but when I finished unpacking them; my fingers were coated with a gray, slightly gritty substance. (UGH!). Nice size though, they hold more than my other spice rack bottles, which I like very much. The jars had a chemical smell when opened, but it dissipated after about 10 minutes of being left open. SELLER REPLY: The cleanliness of the bottles seems to vary in each product batch. They will check with the bottle mfgr to see if this can be improved.LIDS: I do find it frequently takes me two or three times to seat the lids properly. My old, heavy duty spice rack has heavy duty plastic lids which seated easily and immediately. These lids are bit thinner. I feel they may crack with age. (My older rack has lasted 15 years and I still have never cracked a lid.) This seller does include two extra lids, which kind of confirms my concern. SELLER REPLY: It is possible I received a set of older lids, as they have improved the product within the past year. Seller offered to send me new lids if I so desired.FOOTPRINT: I love the fact that this holds sixty spice jars while leaving me more room at the front of the counter.APPEARANCE: It looks lovely on my countertop. I get a bit excited seeing almost all of my spices in one place, neatly arranged alphabetically.LABELS: Difficult to get off the paper, partially because the edge of the black is NOT where the edge of the label itself starts. The sharp tip of a box cutter gets them off more easily. I had also bought a set of different labels - they are removable (at least in the first couple of days). These labels do not remove - get them centered the first time or else. ;0 The names of spices are easy to read, but the definitive naming (Pepper, Black; Pepper, White, etc) are done in a much dimmer script. I do not care for that so used the other labels.PACKAGING: I would be very surprised to find anything broken. This product is extremely well wrapped, with each jar in a separate plastic 'envelope'. Overall, the initial package was almost too heavy for me to get into the house and opened. That is ok though - it was well packaged!!

Fits perfectly on our countertop under the upper cabinets! Just what we needed for the many many seasonings we use! Comes with a LARGE variety of seasoning names printed on stickers to attach to the lid labels. Very sturdy wood. We've had for a few years and it still looks new!

Nice and sturdy. 60 glass jars + spices have some weight. Comes with a ton of labels!

This spice rack is solid wood and perfect in our kitchen. I’m not sure what the other reviewers were talking about with the lid quality, because all of ours are perfect. It’s the perfect size for the side of my cabinet. The only thing is the price. However, it’s solid wood. I can’t argue with that as so many things are not these days it’s going to last!
