Defined by courage and devoted to peace, one man stands for his people: Grandmaster Ip Man (Donnie Yen), whose matchless fighting skills are revered all over China. He refuses to teach Wing Chun, his cherished martial arts style, to the invading Japanese soldiers, and is forced to fight for the honor of his country in a series of battles that culminate in a kill-or-be-killed showdown with General Miura (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi), Japan's greatest fighter.IP MAN 2 (2010)BEHIND EVERY GREAT STUDENT, THERE IS A TEACHER... They refuse to allow him to teach in peace until he proves himself as a kung fu master. His trouble continues when he s forced to enter a savage King of the Ring boxing match against Twister (Darren Shahlavi), a Western-style boxer who insults the Chinese locals, in a East-versus-West fight to the finish.IP MAN 3 (2015)THOSE WHO DESIRE PEACE MUST PREPARE FOR WAR...Igniting the screen in the role that made him an icon, Donnie returns to the blockbuster martial arts series as Ip Man, the real-life Wing Chun grandmaster who mentored countless students, including several martial arts masters and action star Bruce Lee. Fists will fly as some of the most incredible fight scenes ever filmed, choreographed by the legendary Yuen Woo Ping, come to life in this genre classic.EXTRASinterviews with CastLanguage: Cantonese (original), English (DUB)Subtitles: English Review "Ip Man is one of the best martial arts films of all time, hands down!" --Twitch Films Review: Kung Fu Perfection - I recently purchased the "Ip Man Trilogy" on Blu-ray, and I have to say, it was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. As a fan of martial arts films, I had heard a lot about this series, and I can now confirm that it truly lives up to the hype. For those who are unfamiliar, the "Ip Man Trilogy" tells the story of Yip Man, a legendary martial artist and the master of Bruce Lee. The films are set in the early 20th century and are based on the life of the real Ip Man, who is portrayed brilliantly by Donnie Yen. The action in these films is nothing short of breathtaking. The fight choreography is some of the best I've ever seen, and it's clear that the filmmakers put a lot of effort into making the fights as realistic and authentic as possible. The final battle of each film is especially impressive, and I found myself holding my breath during every intense moment. But it's not just the action that makes these films great. The characters are well-developed and likable, and the storyline is engaging and emotional. I found myself invested in Ip Man's journey and rooting for him every step of the way. As for the Blu-ray transfer, it's top-notch. The picture quality is crystal-clear, and the sound is excellent. I felt like I was right in the middle of the action, and I appreciated the attention to detail that went into the transfer. Overall, I can't recommend the "Ip Man Trilogy" on Blu-ray enough. If you're a fan of martial arts films, you won't be disappointed. And even if you're not, the engaging story and likable characters make this series worth watching. Trust me, you won't regret adding this trilogy to your collection. Review: An Outstanding Presentation - The IP Man Trilogy is an outstanding package consisting of 4 Discs. Three of the 4 Disc's are represented by stories associated with time and history. The First Disc is a story about World War Two with The Empire of Japan attempt to conquer China. There are simply terribly effective engagements between the Japanese and the Chinese martial artists. The Second Disc has a true distinction of an example of some of the real differences between Chinese Boxing as opposed to Western Boxing. The Third Disc is about a corrupt waterfront when we learn that the Kingpin to all the troubles plaguing a school is portrayed by Mike Tyson. This has as well very good fight scenes with children and wives and mothers being an integral part of the developing action. The many times these films draw on a moral undercurrent the more poignant the martial art triumph really is. It is very effective in this Disc number three. Disc number Two tries to explain through action what IPMan established with the foundation of a School to teach the Martial Art of Wing Chun. The greater Hong Kong community does not recognize "Master " status of IPMan. until he can prove he is indeed a "Master " of the Martial Art. A big-time fight in which there are a number of Martial Artist "Masters are present occurs with the highlight of this round of fights is about between Master Hung(Sammo Hung) and IPMan(Donnie Yen). Master Hung wishes not to forget though it appears a draw has occurred. They fight again in another scene, however, this is a film with big political ideas and should not be missed. The history places Hong Kong in the hands of the English who show a great deal of animosity toward the Chinese. There are excellent even tremendous fight scenes with the Martial Artist being exemplified by modesty and an unmistakable desire to right a wrong. I think this particular disc may, in fact, be so dramatic that it be mentioned as the best of the three films. The Fourth Disc is interviews with the performers, it is in this Disc that all become mere mortal. I might suggest I was not terribly happy because these historical characters have such a name that it is not simply a Mr. or a Miss. An example is nearing the end of Disc 2 as a young boy is brought into meet IPMan, the young boys' name was Bruce Lee. When Bruce Lee turned 16 years of age he was to become a student of the Wing Chun teachings through masterly teachings of IpMan. Disc two may very well be the strongest of the three Disc's.

Amazing trilogy for an amazing price.
One of the best martial arts films of our time. The second one is the weakest in my opinion, but the third redeems it. The first is certainly the strongest (which is usually the case). For the price, this is an excellent buy, especially for those who are preparing for the fourth coming out later this year.

Master Classic
Fantastic movie or series in my view, just remember it could be 85% and not a cloud in the sky and someone will complain, Donnie Yen at his best I am truly a big fan, But the one thing I think should stated to really complete the story Wing Chun with Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen is yes is the starting point another classic in my book!

Enjoyable based on true stories
Always like the under dog winning and this is about that. Based on the true story of the man who trained Bruce Lee, but not about that. All about his life and struggles. Played by Donnie Yen, who I think he did a spectacular job. Enjoyable, but not outstanding.

Glad I finally got this trilogy
Love these movies, and have been wanting to get the trilogy for some time now. Donnie Yen as Ip Man, doesn't show a lot of emotion, in these movies, so when he does, I think it makes a bigger impact on the scene. I like how cool and collected his character is even during the action scenes, too.

Great Collection!
I bought this primarily so I can hear the English translation. I purchased the Prime version, but it only provided English in the sub titles. The only dislike I have of this collection is minor. In the Amazon Description, it says the product is only one disc. This is a FOUR disc collection. It provides IP man 1, IP man 2 and IP man 3 each on their on disc. The forth disc is a bonus for the move IP man 3. Haven't seen IP man 3 yet, looking forward to it. 5 STARS *****

Gracias
