Not sure yet if it helps with growth, but I still like it!
I originally got this stuff off a clearance rack. As someone with oily hair, something that talks about lifting impurities from the roots sounded good to me. It says it contains menthol, but I didn't get that cooling sensation I've gotten from other shampoos with menthol - that's not a downside or an upside, just an observation. What surprised me the most is how well this stuff lathers up! I have NEVER seen shampoo lather up with so little product, and this is even when I apply it to greasy hair (compared to doing a "lather, rinse, repeat" where the second shampoo lathers up a lot more with very little product because the hair is clean). I normally use a couple tablespoons of shampoo, but this stuff, I need maybe a dime-sized amount to get everything thoroughly sudsy and clean. I purchased more of this stuff here because I'm trying to grow my hair after a bout of telogen effluvium and I had root stimulating shampoo recommended to me. I've only been using it for a little while, so I can't say for sure if it's having any effect in that regard. As far as other aspects of it, it leaves my hair feeling clean like any other shampoo. I don't notice anything exceptionally different in that respect. I don't think it's overly moisturizing, which for me is GOOD because my hair does not like moisturizing or hydrating shampoos - it just makes my hair look heavy and oily. I do not notice any irritation, dryness, flaking, redness, or hair loss with this product. Also, I am seeing that this shampoo is specifically formulated for Black hair. I am as white as they come and my hair is naturally fine and straight, so my two cents might not mean as much. But I still like the shampoo! A little bit goes a super long way! I'm hoping it helps my hair come back after it decided to secede from my scalp.

Go for the Gold!
I love the Gold Series from Pantene. I have tried everything from Mielle,Shea Moisture,Camille Rose. I've spent so much money on so many different lines of products assuming drug store brands are not the best. First off let me add I have a background in hair. I grew up doing my hair, and others for many years before I saw the it's a natural thing. I also have gone to Cosmetology school as well. But all in all, stop going for the internet hype! All these new lines with promising results. Now, I used Pantene as a kid. And long story short, I'll never stop use unless it changes. I gave the new lengths four stars as it doesn't make my hair as soft as the Gold series moisture boost. Yes ,I'm natural and my stuff is rough. So nappy I couldn't comb while pregnant. It took me an entire day. My hair is extremely dry and my shrinkage is forever even when I flat iron. Seems I only can get straight hairwith stove top heat as my chi won't even get the end of my hair straight. No I don't use stove heat but that's just saying these flat irons aren't hot enough on the highest setting.Let me add! When I did relax it to go back straight. It wouldn't get bone straight. People thought i was still natural as my ends stayed curly. But this affordable line allows me to be able to at the very least have soft hair that I can comb. I really over and over again..the entire line from the purple packaging and gold. 4C hair? Just say uncategorized . But Pantene gold series place me somewhere.

Just what I'm looking for!
Good value for money for sure! Very very good quality, and deep clean. Great for curly hair, I love how it smells, and how foamy it gets. After washing out, scalp feels very moisturized, and cool and pepperminty . Good for hair health. If you add the conditioner which is also very exceptionally great, the shine is great. Favorite I love it very much. Great quality! Recommended! Especially if you have crazy curly hair!
