Firehouse Moustache Wax - Light Wax, 1 Ounce

I have been a fan of Fire House mustache wax for many, many years. When my natural hair color was darker, I purchased their wacky tacky wax because it gave me the all day holding power that I wanted and that I could never find in any other mustache wax on the market. And I tried a lot of other mustache waxes. Now that my beard and mustache are becoming white, I switched over to their Light product and I’m very pleased with the holding power as well as the ease of application. All it takes is a thin shaving of the wax enough to cover half of a thumbnail to do my entire mustache including the handlebars. The light wax blends in perfectly with my now much lighter mustache color.I have recommended this brand to others for many years and I am happy to whip out my small tin of mustache wax whenever someone asks what I use. It easily fits in my pants pocket next to my wallet and there’s never any issue of melting or spillage. It always stays very firm under normal temperatures. Another thing I like about this product is that it is unscented. Although I enjoyed the woodsy scent of other waxes I’ve tried, having those additional ingredients seems to irritate my skin. Fire house wax has never irritated my skin, which is why I will continue to purchase their products.UPDATE JUNE 2024: As I’ve written in a previous review, I have been a customer for decades and expect that to continue into the future. I have tried others and stuck with Firehouse. I receive compliments on my moustache nearly every day, I even have men ask me how they can grow a moustache like mine and I am happy to tell them about Firehouse. I attached a photo I took today, smiling because my ‘stache looks great!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday and he likes it but not his favorite. It's really really hard to spread and gets stuck on his mustache hair and looks pretty clumpy compared to other brands we have used. You can see the gel in his mustache when he uses it and it's pretty noticeable. It does hold his mustache in place though it is definitely sturdy.

I purchased the light version. I was pleased to see that this had no smell, as some other products I've tried have made me nauseous, being under my nose all day long. I have grey facial hair and didn't notice any discoloration of my whiskers. Unfortunately, the hold left something to be desired. It lasts about an hour for me in 60 to 80-degree heat. Maybe my hair is too wirey for this wax, or I should have gone with another variation, but I did expect it to hold longer than this.

This wax works pretty well. I have to use clear/white since my mustache is salt/pepper and mostly white. As such, the hold is not as strong as others I have tried, but I am able to shape my mustache as I wish using it. The formula for this wax does NOT include lanolin, which all the other very strong hold waxes seem to use and to which I developed an allergy. This wax saved my stache.

This stuff is great. I wish I could show you a picture of my husband's mustache because its the real deal but he forbade me! He has been using this for years so I thought that a recommendation was due.
