Johnson Hardware Commercial Grade Pocket Door Frame (36" x 80")

I purchased 2 of these pocket door frames. One was complete but the other one, as others have noted, came without some parts. I contacted the seller and their solution was for me to contact Johnson Hardware and if there was any cost, they would reimburse me. Johnson Hardware was great - they quickly sent out the pieces without cost. However, in my opinion, it should have been the seller doing the leg work, not me. Beyond that, the frame was easy to install, the rollers are smooth, the soft-close works great. I would not hesitate to use this frame again; however, next time I will buy it direct from Johnson Hardware!

Item is well made and better than what a locally available frame is. The problem is the shoes that mount on the floor were missing. I needed them immediately as drywall was starting today! Nothing available anywhere. I made my own parts with a protection plate. Worked fine.

Four stars because there is no option for complaint about the seller. I am a finish carpenter and have been working in construction for 40 years. Item came in box that was slightly mangled at the ends, had been opened and then re-taped shut. Nothing looked damaged so I started to install the pocket door. Instructions leave something to be desired but I found my way along alright. After a test fit for width and before committing myself to completion I looked in the bag of parts, (the one that instructs you to leave it there until you are ready to hang the door), and there were no brackets to hold the metal studs to the floor. I looked all around Amazon's site to see how I could get hold of the seller but only got the option of getting a call from a customer representative that had an accent that I did not recognize and a bad phone connection to boot. Fortunately for me, I have a work around for the installation but for the money spent and irritation I probably should have just gone to a local supplier. Very disappointed in the experience and will think twice in future before ordering an item from Amazon that requires assembly.

Wonderful, durable, heavy duty that works really well with a 32 solid wood door.

We had to build a new wall against an existing wall to create a pocket door in a 100 year old house. This kit is very high quality and heavy duty and easily supports the heavy antique chestnut door we modified from a swinging door to a pocket door. The action is very smooth and the soft close feature works like a charm. Perfect fit for our vintage home!!
