Do take care of your transmission !
These two coupled with Park's chain cleaning turbo machine and oil + brushes do make a great transmission maintenance set for the most expensive wear items on your bike: cassette and chain rings. Do take care of your chain and your transmission life span will extend greatly and you save money. Caveat, do not be lazy maintenance wise with your bike. Your wallet and your bike's performance will thank you !

Be aware, the Chain Checker checks for 1.0% and 0.75% wear (but not 0.5%)
I think this is a good kit for the casual rider/hobbyist. Definitely a step down from big blue, but the price reflects that. I think the master link plier is decent enough, and it hold up for occasional use. I've used it a half dozen times, and it as expected.NOTE: The chain checker measures in 0.75% and 1.0% intervals, I now need/want a 0.5% checker, so I'm buying a different model to complement this one.

Cheap but not a piece of crap
Good basic tools, I had to look up the chain gauge in my mountain book maintenance to know what it was all about. Glad I got it cause my chain had stretched
