Great, quiet, fast shifting, chain!
These Wippermann chains are excellent quality, long lasting and if you really want even better performance and longevity go to immersion waxing and they last longer, run quieter and won’t wear out your cassettes as fast!

Two separate orders, two missing sets of connectors
Chains are fine. I've used Wippermans for many Campy-equipped bikes over the last 10-15 years. Problem is that I have ordered these from Amazon twice in the last year, both orders came with product box opened, contents loose inside shipping envelope, >>>both missing Connex master links. Two different fulfillers/sellers, identical problems. Just a data point, but I'd be interested to know if others have had this issue.

Great chain
I break chains— I do not break connection chains!

durable, simple LINK with no tools, cheaper than Campy
I've been using 10s8 chains on three bikes (one cross bike and two road bikes, all equipped with circa 2005-2007 Campy Record 10sp) over the last few years. I've gone through about two-three chains on each bike. I was using Campy Chorus or Record chains before, and though the Campy chains are the best they are very expensive and require you to use an expensive tool. The Wipperman 10s8 may not be as smooth as a Campy chain is on a Campy drivetrain, nor would I imagine that it's as smooth as a Shimano chain is on Shimano drivetrains, but this chain gets the job done. It's way cheaper than a Campy chain, and the best part is the quicklink (which means NO SPECIAL PINS OR SPECIAL EXPENSIVE TOOLS required to assemble or re-attach it after cleaning). I use the Shimano TL-CN27 standard chaintool for intial assembly. I don't abuse my equipment, but I weigh 195lbs I don't exactly keep my bikes clean either. I did one 100mi+ gravel race in the worse conditions on a worn chain (mud and slop in the morning, dry dust caked chain by the afternoon ... lots of other guys suffering broken chains but not me). I've never had a problem with these chains.

Just buy a wipperman connex link
This chain just isn't good. My biggest complaint with it is that is rusts almost instantly in the rain. Seriously, you have to wipe this chain down immediately after it gets wet or it will begin to oxidize.Additionally, the grease it comes with is just not up to snuff. Compared to sram or shimano, which ship with a great treatment, whatever grease the wipperman comes with just doesn't compare. The only thing I like about this chain is the connex link.

Broke after 500 miles! Cr*p chain, avoid
The media could not be loaded. If I could give this chain zero stars I would. Poor manufacturing IMO led to the failure of this chain. I commute 4K miles a year and I wear out chains, SRAM, Shimano etc. after about 1,500 miles of hard riding, rain, road grime etc they have 75% stretch as measured by a Park Tool Chain Checker - CC-2 and get replaced. This chain has 25% wear after 500 miles, or nearly new.The failure of a chain is usually on a hill when I'm riding hard, pushing on the pedals. The chain if it breaks tends to drop onto the road and you coast to a stop. This time it wrapped around my sprockets jammed against the spokes and stopped my rear wheel, which caused me to lose control of the bike and slide to a stop. Unfortunately my left hand was pinned by the handlebars and I left skin on the pave. Fortunately I was wearing a full fingered glove and it took most of the brunt of the fall. Still I ended up in the emergency room with 3 stitches in one finger and 2 in the other finger.10 speed chains are weaker than those old 6 speed I used to ride, but this is ridiculous. So this chain is NOT recommended.

Usual high quality from this brand. Much better than KMC or SRAM.
Purchased this chain to replace a KMC X10 which had gone rusty and stiff in about 600 km despite regular cleaning and lubrication. I had a Connex chain on my old bike which lasted very nicely so purchased another to replace the KMC. This 10S8 is a very nicely made chain and runs on my Shimano Tiagra without any tuning required. It is extremely slick and quiet, plus shifts like a dream. As with other Connex chains that I have owned it is wearing well and much better than any SRAM or KMC chain that I have ever had. The quick links are a big bonus over other brands too as they require no tools to fit or remove. You can fit/remove your chain as often as you like just using your fingers. This makes regular cleaning so simple. If you ever read reviews that say Connex chains skip over the 11 tooth cog don’t listen to them. The quick link needs to be installed in a particular way (shown in the instruction sheet included), if it skips you have it the wrong way up. These do not skip when installed correctly. Finally the packaging was all recyclable card with no single use plastic in sight. Highly recommended chain brand (made in Germany) and purchased with my own hard earned cash.
