Yes it is self assembly. No tools needed. Some parts are already assembled. It takes about 3 to 4 minutes to put it together

What are the internal dimensions?

Hi I sent it back it was too small and looked cheap .Hope that helps.

Is it sturdy enough to sit on without denting or collapsing?

Yes providing you are not too heavy. I’ve sat on it and I weigh about 90kg and it took my weight.

Is the box fully waterproof, would cushions be okay outside in it?

Happily even after a torrential downpour all of my cushions remained dry .
