I'll be honest, I got this on a whim without having any prior knowledge as to what exactly it's supposed to do. My husband has heard of them though and since he has some back and neck muscle issues where massage and cupping really helps, he wanted to give it a try. He says it does assist with some of his back pain although not as well as when they do cupping at his massage appointments. Of course, I'm not a professional (he can't reach his back so naturally I am doing this for him) and am still getting the hang of it so time will tell. So far, I'm pretty happy with it though. It is made really well, feels sturdy and doesn't have any rough edges. I'd recommend.
