This works really well under our pellet stove on our vinyl deck. The area just beyond the mat heats up (still fine to touch) but the ares directly under the mat is still completely unchanged (cold). I'd highly recommend this to anyone needing maximum protection on vinyl and composite decks. It's also quite thick, almost like a yoga mat. The only thing I wish it didn't have was the bright flashy logo - I turned the mat so the logo is behind the pellet stove and out of view.

We ordered and received the 40 inch pad to use on our deck under our new Solo Bonfire stove. It is wonderful! It’s plenty large enough to catch any tiny embers that pop out, and it stayed completely cool the whole time we used our stove! The carrying case will come in handy when we take it camping this summer. Thank you for making a great product - well worth the money!

I’ve now used this a few times with my solo stove and it works great. Heat does not penetrate through the mat. I’ve used this on concrete and on grass and there have been zero discoloration or burns on the ground. I do wish the underside was better reinforced. I had some buddies relocate my firepit using the mat which caused a couple rippes. It still works perfect and I plan to buy another one just in case.

I was rather skeptical of this product, but my kids were begging me to have a fire in the fire pit, so I bought it and gave it a go. We built a new house a year ago, and I labored and paid some exceptionally high water bills to get a good lawn to come in. I was very nervous about my fire pit killing the grass underneath it, but I rolled the dice and had a fire.I gotta say, this mat totally came through. I was sitting in my camping chair cringing as my two pyro sons gleefully piled wood onto an already roaring fire. When I went out the next morning to clean up, I was thrilled when I pulled up the mat and saw nothing but perfectly green, NUdamaged grass underneath.I wiped the ash off the mat, folded it up, and put it back in the bag. Now that I know it works so well, I can enjoy more fires stress free. Great product.

Got this for our fire chimnea. It would kill the grass under the fire pit so i figured id give it a try. Used it on the porch to test out, and after the fire was going for several hours i felt under the mat and the cement was not hot. I was very impressed.

I've used this fire mat twice during the summer and it works really well. The grass under my fire pit was already brown and very dry (we had a campfire ban all summer because of drought conditions). Fire pits are allowed, but I was apprehensive. Both times this mat performed as expected and as advertised. When I turned off the fire pit, I checked the ground under the mat and it wasn't hot or warm. It folds up easily into the carry bag after use. I highly recommend this fire mat when camping with a fire pit

I was looking for something that could protect my rug from our Chimnea and this works! It also has a cute design that looks sooooo much better than the plain silver ones we used in the past. We had some large sparks land and very little to no damage occurred. Overall I would recommend it!
